I too have always wondered at Dust’s draw to this site and Christian metal, despite being so hostile and disdainful towards Christianity. Maybe something is calling him back, whether he recognizes it or not…

Believe it or not, you can actually like and listen to something and not agree with it or believe in it. TO me listening to Christian metal is no different to listening to something about Satan. Another example, Dug Pinnick i imagine is probably very much a lefty and into LgBtQ and what not (i am assuming since he is gay) but that doesn't stop me from listening to his music.

It's not hard to grasp really. Good music is good music.

Because many Christian Metal bands are just as good as secular metal bands, but you won't get much discussion about Believer, Seventh Angel, Vengeance Rising, Mortification, or Holy Soldier on a secular metal forum.

Well I can somewhat get a non-christian liking a Christian band (unless they downright hate Christianity then it makes absolutely no sense at all) but a Christian listening to anything Satanic or Atheist is too far.

Atheist are incredible!

Agreed. Some others may disagree, but I don’t get why a Christian would want to listen to overt blasphemy

If it's just music by an atheist I'm fine, I just wouldn't want a song directly saying "God isn't real". I wouldn't wanna listen to anything by a Satanist though, even if the lyrics are innocent by themselves.
