I thought you’d have the clean cut look forever. Now you look like Jamey Jasta (since he’s been growing his hair).

I think this lineup is the most refined thus far.

Pretty stoked to watch the video, as the probability of me ever seeing you in person is fairly low. 

My thoughts:
1) Pretty impressive playing as a band!! These songs are not easy to play, and you guys were in sync the whole time!
2) I had not realized that you were the vocalist as well. ToB, that was impressive, playing all those guitar parts AND singing. Plus, your high parts were bang on every time. Nice!!
3) You're not just the rhythm guitarist and the singer, you're also the lead guitarist live! Intense! I don't know how you could be so calm.
4) And in the end, it wasn't just impressive, it was super enjoyable. That is a very memorable song, and I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, I wear many hats .... which is unfortunate but has been necessary if you want to form this kind of band in Alabama.

Now that Harry is settled into the band he will be taking on more of the solos.

I hope we can play some Christian fests one day to broaden our reach.

Were you happy with the concert? As a former preacher, and a former/current worship leader & musician, I know that putting yourself out there can be emotionally taxing. And this was your first show in quite a while. Was it a good experience? Was the crowd into it and encouraging? How did the band play together through the whole show?

I had an amazing time all-around and it was a huge blessing.  Turnout was good and the crowd was really supportive of all the bands.  The guys in Raven and Riot Act were SUPER cool and fun to chat with.

As a musician, I am never really 100% happy with anything I do. 

The crowd was definitely into us and people gave us a lot of compliments.

I wish we had a bit more time to rehearse with the two "new" band members before this gig fell in our lap and most of all I wish we had had a soundcheck and I could hear myself in my monitors!  But we were blessed to have this opportunity most of all.

No.  

A few more solos need to be written/recorded and most of the vocals as well, as well as a few other odds-and-ends.

A lot of prep went into getting ready for the Raven show.

Do you think it will be released sometime next year? Or are we looking at a 2024 timeframe?

Maybe you should consider renaming the album…

Yeah, I think next year.

The goal is to finish all recording this year and then early next year finish the inlay, get it mixed & mastered & pressed.

That could change if we get some more big shows thrown our way in that time.

We're adding an Anthrax cover song to the set and another song from the upcoming new album.

We're also trying to line up a show with a really great, popular Christian metal band.  We'll see if that one happens.

I'm handing off some of the guitar solos to Harry to play live.  It'll sound better with us alternating solos instead of me taking pretty much all of them.

Next week I'm working on writing and recording a bunch of guitar solos for the new album.

I hope the Anthrax cover isn’t Lone Justice… I don’t like that song. I don’t think it will be Madhouse. Anything else is fine by me. Gung Ho, Aftershock and Medusa are my favorites.

You should bring back Forbidden Evil to the set. Also consider adding Through Eyes of Glass. Love that song!

Do you like Flotsam? How about the songs No Place for Disgrace or Dreams of Death? It would fit your style.

Forbidden Evil has actually never been in the set.  We only rehearsed that one and recorded it, but never played it live.

Through Eyes of Glass we have already played live several times.  That's my favorite Forbidden song ever, and probably my favorite thrash guitar solo.  It was tough to learn!

I love Flotsam!  Also love those songs.

Trying not to get too obscure though because .... this is Alabama.

It will come across as an original song if we play it because maybe 2 people will have heard it before.

We have floated the idea of a Coroner cover though, which might happen.

Also, we may bring back Dawn Patrol/ Rust in Peace/ Polaris which we used to play live, since that is a Big 4 band and I bet thrashers know that album.
