Re: Recently Watched Movies
Just watched "Jesus of Nazareth". It was alright. Probably haven't seen it since it first came out in 70's. For the most part it stuck to the story, but it lacked "oomph".
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Furious 7
Easy to follow, mostly predictable, epic soundtrack, over the top stunts, great quotes, possibly better than #6.
I agree with one critic that this franchise should end on a high note. Quite touching tribute to Paul Walker near the end.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I'm watching the 1995 film, Joseph, from The Bible Collection video series.
This is a good one. Ben Kingsley is a good actor.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Here's another good one with Ben Kingsley. This is from The Bible Collection video series also.
I'll be watching this one again after I watch Joseph.
Ben Kingsley gives an outstanding performance as Moses.
This is a great film.

I know this thread is about movies...and this isn't actually a movie, but if you put all the episodes together, it makes one long movie

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Under The Mountain (1981) is an 8 part TV series based on the novel "Under The Mountain" written by Maurice Gee.
This is another TV series that makes one long movie.
It is a creepy story and it really freaked me out when I was a kid.
Under The Mountain used to come on Nickelodeon on a show called The Third Eye.

I really wanted to see that one... Was it bad then? (Haha "disturbed" isn't always a bad thing in my opinion when it comes to movies.)

Re: Recently Watched Movies
No, it was a very good movie. Just the whole premise and the way it played out was disturbing to me because I know people who are like Joaquin Phoenix's character. Sometimes I think I might even be in that category, especially considering the movie was recommended to me by an old friend I had been spending a lot of time communicating with online to the detriment of some of my real world responsibilities/relationships.Kerrick wrote:messiaen77 wrote:Her

Gotcha. Well I shall add it to my list.
My girlfriend (WHAT!?! ) and I watched Nine Queens on Friday night. I figured out the ending pretty early on but it was a very enjoyable flick nonetheless. Basically, two con-men try to sell some fake stamps to this rich collector guy. It's an Argentinian film so it's all in Spanish but I don't mind subtitles. (She speaks Spanish so she didn't need to read.)

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I started watching that film about 13 years ago. After about 10 minutes into the film, i decided that I needed the subtitles. I didn't understand Argentinian Spanish well enough then. Earlier that day I had watched a Mexican film w/o subs, no prob. I never did finish the film. Now I want to give it another go.Kerrick wrote:messiaen77 wrote:No, it was a very good movie. Re: Recently Watched Movies
It's a fun movie! The characters are what makes it. But it's an intelligently done film and is well made. Lots of bad language and a few adult references, but otherwise it's clean (other than being generally immoral haha).

Batman: Assault on Arkham. Let me save you 90 minutes: it sucks.
Big Hero 6. Let me help you spend two hours: it's awesome.
Batman vs. Robin. It's legit.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Just finished "The Big Lebowski". Never had seen it before, and now I wished I hadn't. Don't know what the big deal was about the movie.
