Re: Recently Watched Movies
Labor day weekend I did a "marathon" of the first Marvel movies (Thor, Captain America, Iron Man & The Avengers) with my son. It was his first time watching them, and he was super excited. It was neat to watch them back to back and see a lot of the cross over things in them.

The 100-year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. Not hilarious but funny and entertaining.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
On Friday night, we watched Draft Day and Divergent. Draft Day was excellent and I absolutely loved the story and the camera work. Some of the best camera work of recent memory. Their split and overlapping screens were amazing!
Divergent is entertaining but I won't give it much more than that. It's in the Hunger Games class of teen fiction.
Last night, I watched Underworld with my two oldest children. I've seen it multiple times before and they both enjoyed it on their first watching.

Watched "Fantastic Voyage" this weekend with my kids. I remember loving this movie when I was a kid. The effects were still pretty decent, but some times cheesy.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
I watched it with the kids a few weeks ago. I told them it was going to be cool. The were a bit perplexed and kept asking me when the cool part was going to start. I didn't think it was as neat as I remember it.deathisgain wrote:Watched "Fantastic Voyage" this weekend with my kids. I remember loving this movie when I was a kid. Re: Recently Watched Movies
I wouldn't call them particularly bad. They are entertaining, watch once and move on. Go watch them.Savage Amusement wrote:Anyone seen the latest Thor or Wolverine movies...been meaning to check them out..are they good movies?

The first Wolverine movie was okay, the second one lost my interest for some reason.
I did like Thor: The Dark World tho. A little bit darker (pun intended) for the Marvel franchise, but still good.

Yeah, when I watch old movies with the kids, it becomes like Mystery Science Theater 3000 with them.
There was one line that made me crack up tho.
Bet you're pretty handy around the house... Can you cook?

Prisoners - It was dark and a little slow, but I enjoyed it.
Also rewatched Tombstone. What an awesome "guy" movie.

The Last Stand. The last half-hour is action-packed, but the first half of the film i found kind of dull.
