I haven't seen it either, but I do remember people making a big deal about it.
Maybe that "big deal" they are making about the movie is what they call "The Big Lebowski"?
I don't know.
What is a "Lebowski"?

I LOVE that movie! I've seen it countless times and never tire of it. An important question: who did you see it with? If you watched it by yourself or with someone else who hasn't seen it, it's not as fun. IMO it's best in large groups in which some have seen it and some haven't. Also, that's a movie that much of the humor is in the subtleties that you only pick up after watching it a few times. I highly recommend re-watching it in a few months with a fun crew. All that being said, it is definitely not a movie for everyone. The Coen Brothers are my favorite filmmakers and I absolutely love their strange, dry, obscure humor.

Ok...Ok...I'll take note of your movie suggestion,
but you don't have to make such a "big lebowski" about it

I suppose I'll get around to seeing that movie sometime.

It's from the movie. I was just being goofy and wasn't trying to imply anything. When you mentioned being a "big Lebowski," it made me think of the "little Lewbowskis" haha. I'm at work so I can't listen, but I think there's probably some foul language so watch if you want...

Okay, just for that, I am holding off on Warpriest for a while!
I didn't know that they did "Raising Arizona", which I absolutely love. I also liked "O Brother Where Art thou" & "Burn After Reading". I tried to like "Lady Killers". That's all I've seen of theirs.
I did watch the movie by myself for the most part. I got a lot of the jokes, I just didn't think it was THAT funny. I'm not a purist, but the level off F-bombs blew the needle off of my meter.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Ha! You think I even WANT that Warpriest album after such a comment?!?
Yeah, they swear a LOT in that movie, which is unfortunate. I'd still recommend giving it a shot with other folks at a later time, perhaps while sipping away on a few white russians.

Not really a movie, but an awesome TV show.
Disney Gargoyles.
I can't get enough of that show. I have the entire show on DVD.
Best Disney show ever made.

This was one of my favorite shows growing up along with Sonic the Hedgehog SATAM and TMNT.
I also have the entire Gargoyle's collection on DVD.

I've never seen this show. I did watch a few minutes of this video, though.
This may be made by Disney, but it doesn't seem to be Disney to me.
I'm more into the classic Disney animators styles.
Frank and Ollie was a good documentary film about two classic Disney animators.

Here's another film made by Disney that doesn't really seem to be Disney.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I started watching "Noah". Got five minutes into watching it, and I just realized it was going to be stupid. Lasted another five minutes before I gave up. Not worth the lost time.

My sister was telling me something really strange that she saw in the movie.
She was saying something about "rock people" or something like that. It seemed strange to me.
I'm interested to see it just to see what she was talking about.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Ok...so I watched five minutes of Noah.
I'm not sure what seems to be "stupid" about what I've seen so far. I think they have the storyline right.
I see about the "rock people" now. They represent the nephilim.
I still don't see anything "stupid" yet.
The artist conception of the nephilim as "rock people" is strange, but I can let that slide. It makes me curious to see where they are going to take this.

It goes beyond the Nephilim/Rock People. Things like the serpent/devil's skin has some magical shamanistic powers to it? Noah is a quasi-hippie food gathering man that instantly going into full-on ninja killing mode. Etc. I went into with an open mind, even tho I had read bad reviews from people I respect. But I could tell it would be a waste of my time.

"The serpent's/devil's skin having some magical shamanistic powers" sounds interesting to me.
No...I don't think the serpent's/devil's skin has weird mystical powers,
But I do know he was a celestial being, and celestial being's appearance is usually described as being bright and burning. Much like a serpent is with it's shiny/bright appearance and it's burning bite. All of these things tie into WHY he is called "the serpent".
I don't know if that is what the movie is going for or not...I don't know yet.
I'm curious to know if these "magical powers" they give him in the movie has anything to do with that.
