Sacrament News + a new band arise...
(From Sacrament official facebook page)
SACRAMENT NEWS, 2021
Metal Fans and Sacrament Fans alike
****We are getting many questions about the rumors of a Sacrament reunion project.
While a 30 year reunion project was in the works as of April 2021 it has been put on hold indefinitely.
The members of Sacrament have decided to split into two bands.
This news may be disappointing for some fans, but the great news is that both groups plan on writing and releasing new music.
TESTIMONY OF APOCALYPSE is one of those bands! With new music to be released this FALL.

Awe man… I’m sort of disappointed about the reunion falling apart. Who are the members of the two separate groups?
Which band has Mike Torone??

Please tell me one band is using Mike Torone, and the other has Robert Wolfe!
Now that would be awesome!

This reminds me of the Sepultura split. Max vs Andreas…
I’m curious to see the differences.

I am very interested in this group. They got Mike Torone! I’m assuming this is the band calling themselves Testimony of Apocalypse!
That means Erik Ney is in the other group. I hope he’s not doing another Fountain of Tears style…

Believer has been very inactive for quite a while… maybe Joey Daub is teaming up with Erik Ney for the other band.

I hope one of the bands has Rob Wolfe, but I tend to doubt that will happen....

Is there another Sacrament Facebook page or did they just change the name of the existing one to Testimony of Apocalypse?

I figured Ney would not be involved, as he has his own dental practice in Lancaster. I hope I'm wrong.

There’s two bands. He may be in the other band that has no name yet. His dental practice could be a problem, but I seriously doubt they would be playing a lot of shows. Even Tourniquet only plays a few select dates once in a while.
I predict all their activity will be localized in Pennsylvania and maybe the surrounding states. And the occasional festivals like Cornerstone. Any shows outside of that would need to be funded by promoters.

This ToA band features none of the three guitarists that played in Sacrament BTW.

The other band has no name yet?
May I suggest "Sacrament Rising"?
Yeah, I did have to say it

I wonder why the reunion fell apart. I hope it’s not a Neil Turbin/Sebastian Bach type situation that the band couldn’t work with Mike Torone. I’d rather it was musical difference. Not having at least one of the original guitar players is not good.

My guess is that one side is ready to go with material and the other is either busy with real life and/or isn't really feeling those tunes. But they are written so one side wants to go ahead and go with it.

You’re probably right.
That said… I’m looking forward to hear what Torone can do after 30 years!

My only wory is the #metalcore at the bottom of the post. I hope they stay in a more traditional thrash style.

Just seeing this! So it is happening! Torone + Testimony of Apocalypse name + Expressed desire to continue the message = Awesome!
Never been more excited about the prospect of a group of band members reforming. Hoping for intense thrash! With that name and that vocalist, how could it not be?! Guitarist(s) void will leave large shoes to fill, but they have a legacy to live up to with that name!

It’s my understanding it will be a mixture of thrash, heavy metal, groove metal.
