Favorite song on Kill ‘Em All?

Jump in the Fire and Seek and Destroy are pretty equal, went JITF.

I almost went with JitF.

The Four Horsemen!

It’s actually one of my all time favorite metal songs! It’s a muscle car of a metal tune. 

Thanks to Dave Mustaine for writing the music, and James for fine tuning it with the best Gibson/Marshall crunch, tight rhythm playing and better lyrics. The galloping in the mid-section is epic! Plus Cliff’s crazy distorted bass effect that comes in towards the end. 

My second choice is “No Remorse”. I love the Michael Schenker style lead playing. Kirk Hammett was top notch back then.

I think Phantom Lord is one of the best overall, great chorus, and riffs.

Seek & Destroy but The Four Horseman is close behind.

Kurt Cobain loved the song Whiplash.

Whiplash is underrated. Not the album's best, but underrated.

Pleased to see the love for Jump in the fire! Thought that would be a side note to most. It's my favorite from the album, even if it is super bouncy! Remember seeing this guitarist guy at school and he loved Metallica and I was scared of them because the whole satanic panic crap, yet so very very much secretly loved it! (this was back in the day when kids drew their favorite band name on their bags and metal was dangerous) he had a picture on the cover of one of his work books that depicted a monstrous demon inside I guess what would be the fires of hell, and a massive stone bridge where, if looking closely, one could see people jumping into the fire.

It's a great riff and great tune yet perhaps the least thrashy song on the whole album, bar Pulling teeth.

Kurt also loved metal and queen to punk to the Beatles. Kurt was great and on top of being a great pop song writer, he was a very underrated guitarist too.

Nirvana is, in my opinion, THE most overrated band ever to exist. And they spawned the worst rock genre that continues to spread its whiny, angsty influence on mainstream rock today

That doesn't surprise me coming from a metalhead. Most people into metal think that about Nirvana and the vast majority of "grunge" bands I have noticed, unless it's Alice in chains (the safe grunge band for the metalhead to enjoy should they so choose). Nirvana were an incredible band for so many reasons, and Kurt was the John Lennon of his generation and really good and overlooked Guitarist. Anyhoo I'm just shooting the breeze, another man's opinion is nor here nor there.

Are my eyes deceiving me? Did Kerrick admit to liking a thrash song?

Not a fan of Alice in Chains either, but yeah I guess it’s just a matter of taste. Some people like grunge, just like some people like pop and hip hop, I will probably never understand it but many others feel the same about the music I listen to

I'd love to hear some other songs that Hugh Tanner wrote.

Haha believe it or not, Metallica was my intro to metal.  I was quite the Metallica fan for a while!

I could never get past the lyrics of Jump in the Fire. Great riff, but the message…yikes.

He's got a great voice, and I really llike Smells Like Teen Spirit, but I do think their overrated... not because I don't like grunge, they just overall seem very soft for a grunge band.

Comparing Kurt to Lennon is like comparing Bill Murray in Space Jam to prime Michael Jordan.

I have wide taste in music. Nirvana was mediocre.

I don't think the message was really telling people to go to hell, but I tend to be biased and look for the best message I can find in bands I like lol.
