Re: Recently Watched Movies
I watched All Good Things last night. It stars Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, and Frank Langella and is a drama/suspense (supposedly based on a true story) of their relationship as Gosling's character's true colors of being a nutcase emerge. Apparently it remains an unsolved case but the movie made it very clear who the bad guy is. I dunno, I wasn't too impressed.

Finally saw "Mockingjay II" tonight. I kind of liked the ending.

"Delivery Man" - This was surprisingly good. A lot different than I thought it would be.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Just finished "Hercules" with The Rock. Better than I thought it would be, but something was off a little with Dwayne Johnson's look for me.

Hotel Transylvania 2
The Good Dinosaur
Yep, Friday was Family Movie Day. Both were pretty good. Good Dinosaur was kinda emotionally intense for a kids' movie. My 7 year-old's favorite part was the asteroid at the beginning. He's more sensitive than my 5 year-old, so he didn't like all the drama.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I watched This Is The End the other night based on a few recommendations. I did not care for it. Great premise but super foul, the jokes were not that funny, and (as one should expect) theologically it was way off. Basically, doing "good" will get you to heaven. I would definitely not recommend.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original from 1974. Not as gory as you'd think (tobe was actually shooting for a PG rating when he made it), but it is scary and has a very dark atmosphere (literally, as a good chunk of the film takes place in a dimly lit, run down house) . Still, that said, i did enjoy it and understand why its considered a horror classic (it's actually LESS trashy than some current horror films).

^Right on! That's one of the only classic horror flicks from that era that I haven't seen. It's on my list!

TCM is an amazing piece of filmmaking from the fabulous foreshadow to the off kilter use of the mastershot.
Little known fact: It is in Steven Spielberg's top 20 films of all time.

Dark Shadows. Never saw the soap opera this film was based off of, but this was a pretty good film. Loved the Alice Cooper cameo.

God's Not Dead 2
With me working in a public school, this really resonated with me. Seeing the court cases at the end listed that were used in helping with the script was cool. However, seeing two from Tennessee and one of them being a case from my home of Wilson County was a little creepy.

Macbeth (2015)
Very good cinematography, nice dark tone but I would have liked it more had it been gruffer.
Marion Cotillardspeaks an excellent English without much accent.

There were some good things about it, but the graphics felt unfinished to me at times. Like they would be stellar in a video game, but not a movie.
