Finally watched BvS last night. I enjoyed it. Not my all time favorite superhero movie but it is up there.

Extended version or theatrical cut?
I watched both, and I enjoyed the extended version MUCH MORE.

It was a rental, so I'm guessing it was theatrical. If I buy it, I'll make sure and buy the extended.

What did you think about it compared to the other two?
They are finally getting this to where it feels like Trek. Spock is still a little TOO emotional, but the rest of the cast feels more like the original cast. You get a lot more of the character connections that the tv series gave you. Yes, there is still plenty of over the top action, but that's how you sell movies these days. Of the three in the reboot series, this is probably my favorite. Of course, I have enjoyed them all in spite of the changes they made.

I loved the theatrical release except for those stupid dream sequences. Those could have been shortened or left out altogether. The added scenes in the extended version help to clarify why Batman and Superman are fighting. You really understand that Luthor engineeres the whole thing as a plot to experiment with Kryptonian technology. Wonder Woman still steals the show in the final battle sequences, though.
While some of the comic book fanboys will scream about the treatment these characters and stories received, I think it is a great place to launch DC's extended universe and set up their Justic League movies.

Since I watched "10 Cloverfield Lane" a while back, I decided to watch "Cloverfield" the other day. Meh.

Lethal Weapon. Haven't seen that one in years but it's a good'un! I may have to watch the sequels again soon. (I don't know if I've seen all of them actually... might need to remedy that!)

Really? When I saw it, the theater probably half full of people in the showing. We went at noon and saw the standard, not 3D, version. Our local theater has $5 Tuesdays where you can see movies at any time throughout the day for only five bucks. I've seen several movies this summer!
What was funny to is that these are films made for a younger generation. The average age in this theater by appearance only would have been between 40 and 50.

Next to the Die Hard movies, that is my favorite action series of the 80s/90s!
The foot/car chase and front yard fight in the sprinkler were well shot, well directed and cap the movie off nicely.

^Oh yeah, the Die Hard flicks are great! (I never saw the latest one but I heard it wasn't so good...)
Netflix has all four Lethal Weapon flicks and I think I'll watch them in succession.

That's an awesome movie.
Want something similar (girl that is strangely efficient at killing people) but a lot crazier?
Try this one.

It was Lethal Weapon 4 that first introduced me to Jet Li. I've been a fan of his work ever since.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Finally got around to seeing X-Men: Apocalypse. Meh. It was a let down for me compared to the last two, which I really liked. The best part was Quicksilver's run.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
The Little Prince - if you want a great family film, watch this. It's just perfect. This is such a great film. So worth watching.
Also, I meant midnight special, not midnight express.

Totally agree. This book is a family favorite. I even read it to the family earlier this year as part of our family reading time and we all just love it!
The movie was a very nice adaptation to the book. They did no major injustices to the book and kept true to the story. The neat thing is that there was an abundance of add-ons to the story but they kept it the same, that is quite a feat!
Jeff Bridges did a fantastic job as usual, as did all the voice actors.
The only downside is that I won't be able to buy it on disc since it's a Netflix exclusive!!!

This movie is so good. Awesome horror. Its a Turkish film, so there's no spoken English, but it does an awesome job in progressing from normal to some intense gore and WTF moments.
