Ken Tamplin Poll!
Of the various things Ken Tamplin has been involved with, which do you prefer? Tamplin solo, Magdallan, or Shout?

Shout just had really solid glam releases so I voted Shout

Tamplin solo (that's Han's cousin). I love most everything he's done as a solo artist. I just wish we could get him to do a new album. It has been over a decade now.
I like the music of Magdallan more-so than Shout, but that could be rectified with a proper remaster.

SHOUT IT OUT!!!
Based on the first two albums alone!!! Their third one wasn't as good though.

Tamplin and Friends An Axe To Grind and Tamplin S/T are head and shoulders above the Shout albums ... though I like them too.

I thought "An Axe to Grind" was fantastic. Wasn't as much of a fan of Tamplin S/T though.
My vote stays with Shout!!! I wish Shout had carried on.
That first Shout album is a Glam Metal MASTERPIECE!!!
The second one was a good, solid album, but not as good as "It Won't Be Long".

Re: Ken Tamplin Poll!
I have to go with Shout....the solo stuff is good, but I heard a lot of recycled vocal parts that just sounded like no one was even trying to come up with a new idea.

You should add "Tamplin" to the choices. It was a "Band" not just another solo album.

If I am not mistaken, ths album was released a couple of years ago. It was probably one the last works that Ken Tamplin has been involved with (regarding original music).oldschooldoom wrote:Anyone else familiar with the album he did with Greg X entitled 'Dream'.

I would be much more excited if Ken had not only sung the tracks, but also played guitar in it. I am interested in it and I might get it some day, but there is no rush for it.

Re: Ken Tamplin Poll!
Actually, this is a different Greg X. This guy is from Europe.

Yup, DREAM was released in 2011. A nice collaboration.

Re: Ken Tamplin Poll!
Thanks old school doom. I was pretty sure he wasn't greg x volz, as Ken Tamplin was invited to sing in this album, not to play guitar.
