I agree. Good one to watch with the family.deathisgain wrote:The Adventurer: Curse of the Midas Box

It wasn't the greatest of movies, but it wasn't that bad. Especially to watch with young kids. It had a little bit of Indiana Jones mixed steampunk lite and National Treasure. The author that wrote the books is a Christian (Shadowmancer) and it is pretty wholesome. Some big stars in it as well.

World War Z. Figured it would be "just another zombie fest", but it was actually pretty good.

Sharknado. Yes, its as over-the-top (in a good way) as it sounds.

This week is Alien week. My all time favorite sci-fi thriller whatever movie. I try to watch it at least once a year. I'll probably watch tonight or tomorrow night.

47 Ronin.
I made it like an hour and 20 minutes into that film. That was freaking awful. Keanu Reeves should feel ashamed. But if shame meant anything to him, there'd be a long list of films he wouldn't have done.

Transformers AOE. IMO, save your money. The story is weak and simply plods along for a ridiculous 165 minutes (that's more than two hours). Plenty of explosions, death, and destruction, of course, because that's what Michael Bay is good at.

Sounds like a good candidate for the "wait for dvd" list.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Definitely. You will lose the experience of having the world blowing up around you, unless you have an awesome surround sound system, but at least you'll be able to stop it when you feel yourself falling asleep.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
What did you like/dislike about Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes? I watched the first one this morning in preparation for seeing this. Please tell me, though, that James Franco isn't in this one.
