I compare them with U2. They have songs that are absolutely gold, many that are average, and many that are horrible. I listen to find the gems and usually leave most of the rest.

Yes, they have some songs that I'd consider metal, and man, do they rock!

What songs would you say are horrible? They have songs I don’t care for (first album, a decent amount of Simulation Theory), but none that I would say are horrible.

Too many to count...It's probably just that they're not my style. I don't even know their names, b/c I don't listen to them at all.

Goodnight Vienna is the fourth studio album by Ringo Starr

Still very eclectic bunch of songs with him trying to share musical styles that he enjoys. It would be years before his solo efforts really matured

The first half is big band swing type music and silly love song (oops that's Paul) lyrics. Some have wacky titles like: Snookeroo and Backoff Boogaloo

Then the BIG hit that was all over the radio. I remember hearing the No No No song when I would listen to AM radio.
It's set to quasi Calypso music. It was played so much because of the humorous stoner lyrics. The first time I heard this song in 1975, I could not believe it was Ringo and not Cheech & Chong, LOL

The last song is the only one that has a Beatles vibe. Because Paul is the singer.

I probably won't listen to this one again. But the no no no song still cracks me up

Skid Row - Live in London (2024)

Their new album is a live concert. This was recorded in 2022. I saw them that year at a county fair in Paso Robles, CA

DT: Falling Into Infinity. Even though they were really struggling as a band at the time of this recording, it's one of my favourites. There is more emotion dripping off this album than any other. There's a few beautiful ballads and 2 amazing concept songs (Lines in the Sand & Trial of Tears.

I don't think any of the rest of their albums ever matched the magic they had on their first three, though that's their newest album and I think some of the best stuff they've put out in quite a while.  Enjoy!

The last In Flames is actually pretty good but yeah, they went sort of modern rock and mostly lost me.

I never got into In Flames, though I've seen 'em live a couple of times and regardless of their change in style, they put on one heck of a fun show.
