Honestly, if a person is truly using cannabis for medical reasons, how is that worse than big pharma pills? 

At least the medicine comes from a natural source. God made it. I’m not advocating recreational use.

I don’t see it any differently than something like Vicodin or Morphine in those settings.

I’m extremely wary of any chemicals that alter the mind. Including alcohol, weed, recreational drugs, and any psychoactive pharmaceutical drugs (the ones handed out like candy by doctors to anyone with mental health issues). However, I guess if you’re in severe chronic pain you do what you have to do

I’m wary, as well, although I didn’t mind the morphine when I broke my pelvis. (Until it made me sick and I had to switch to just ibuprofen, anyway).

One of the meds that’s been giving me so much trouble is an anti-anxiety medicine that I’ve been trying to wean off of. Those meds mess with you.

Indeed. People in severe chronic pain should seek relief. God knows their intentions. 

Side effects from “normal” pharmacy pills alter the body too. The Bible speaks of drinking wine… but some folks can’t even handle one glass without a buzz.

It’s especially messed up how they do it to kids. “Your child has been misbehaving in school? Well we’ve got a diagnosis for that, time to put him on amphetamines!”

Schools as a whole are awful.

I liked the brain challenge. But nowadays it's a chore because my intellegence level has dwaned heavily. I was basically a genius at 4... I'm still above average I think, but not by too much

Although the song says nothing about accepting Christ as savior.

Like Realm, this band in its earliest days had Christian members who steered them away from being a Venom/Slayer-influenced band into an "anti-Evil" band warning against Hell.  

There is a chasm of difference between this particular song and Overkill/Dream Theater/most every Christian-friendly song mentioned in that thread.  

Are you still contending that Sin of Omission is "almost" a Christian song?

They're not thrash but they were a pretty cool band.

Yeah, I did pick up on some Christian themes but never read their lyrics too deeply.

New Renaissance really had some great bands.  Shame it fizzled out.

The title “Sins of Omission” has religious connotations. The message is also not unlike a topic a Christian band has wrote about.
