I think a lot of musicians, myself included, are really only motivated by MAKING MUSIC and consider the rest of the things related to being in a band to be a bit of a chore. So some of us rush through them to get them over with, but it later comes back to bite us.

I have to admit that "I Want A Wal-Mart Girl" is really catchy. They have a pretty cool sound overall. Not near as bad as the cover would suggest.

Musically speaking, they have a nice sense of melody that reminds me of The Cars and maybe a bit of the Ramones. But their album cover looks like they were going for a Willy Wonka black metal image (with a Kidz Bop layout).

Yeah the music really wasn't that bad. I'm curious what the "New Living Translation" on the side is all about. I don't think that's generally regarded as an especially good translation, but it isn't exactly The Message either... Question

I wondered that myself.

FWIW, the NLT is a very good functional equivalent translation with excellent scholarship behind it. It just has a different niche than a more formal equivalent translation (e.g. NASB, NKJV, ESV).
