Worst Band Names (Christian)

A couple I can think of are Brotality and The Wedding.

Stryper (but I do loves me some Stryper)

EDIT: On second thought, it's still better than "Roxx Regime"

Prettymuch any band that released albums starting in the 1990's

Everything about grindcore, from the “music” to the disgusting lyrical/title/album cover themes, is a laughable abomination that has no reason to exist

Although I really like these bands… their names are not very good.

I could start a project called “explosive bloody diarrhea” and make the music entirely from various pig noises, clogged toilet gurglings, flatulence, and the sounds of a malfunctioning car engine and grindcore fans would probably rave about how awesome it was lol

Another band that tries too hard to look/sound secular. 

How do you uplift God with lyrics about vomit? 

I got nothing against the musical style, but the lyrics are kinda counterproductive. Scrolls of the Megilloth is the most I’d want to go in the dark lyrical direction. 

If I want gore, I’ll listen to Cannibal Corpse.

And I’m a big horror fan! I just think it can be done tastefully. Like a spooky story in the style of King Diamond or Stephen King. Vomit and guts lyrics are for high school kids.

I actually looked up Vomitorial Corpulence lyrics once for kicks and giggles. It’s so cringeworthy it’s honestly kind of hilarious

^^Pretty much what TZ said. I know they claim Vomitorial comes from Rev 3, but here it screams, “we’re so edgy.”

It’s like if I were to look at David’s bride price he paid for Saul’s daughter and named my band Foreskin Harvester. Could I make a case that it’s biblical? Kinda. Is it ridiculous? Yeppers.

That’s a sticky situation.

If a song had lyrics about the head of John the Baptist on a platter (but only for factual reasons), go for it! 

Even the occasional detailed description of a rotting leper could be interesting… but in the context of a story. Not just a long list of gross words.
