Random thoughts...

Writing at the local library today.  This way, I don't wake up my sleeping bro, who has to work tonight.

Just crossed 15K words...and I'm only at the Prologue stage.  It's winding up though, so I should be nearing the start of the main text soon.  It's about a kid who's the sole survivor of a suicidal doomsday cult.  Through many trials and travails, he will tangle with powerful figures--both men and devils--to withstand their hellish schemes, and learn of the God who so loves him.

Well I  managed to buy a couch and a bed. My mother  has had 2 strokes since December.  She had a bleed on left side with the first stroke and she couldn't move her right side. Then she had her second stroke, it affected her left side and her speech. Using zoom to chat with her because I live far away and I  do not drive.

I finished the prologue! Onto page 50, word count 18,145.  Now the fun begins!

Dang Thomas, that's super weird. I think Alldat may be right... Something else HAS to be going on there. Bizarre...

Well, Baby #2 was due two days ago but I guess she's cozy where she's at! We're getting eager to finally meet her!

Prologue Addendum next. The back story for the cult

I can hear from my left ear again! Ears have been plugged up for a good month.

Exciting, wacky day so far.     Made a return visit to the local urgent care for this ear infection I've been battling for a month.  Getting ready to pick up meds from that visit and dry cleaning.  Still no Demon Hunter package--appears that Kansas City, KS has a lot of drama in their distro center (according to this fine lady who helped me).  Applebee's for lunch at noon, and that's about it.  Good thing I got 12 hours' sleep last night--going to need all the energy I can get.

Filled out missing mail order thing with USPS.  Fit to be tied.  It must be nice to have a job where you can display utter incompetence on a daily basis.  

Baby was born yesterday mid-morning!  Both baby Viera* Liberty and mama are doing just fine.    

*Viera is Slovak for Faith.  (My wife is originally from Slovakia for those who didn't already know that.)

Seriously, there is no envelope left to push. The cultural pendulum has been artificially held in place for way too long. We're rapidly approaching a dystopian version of Sodom & Gomorrah meets Weimar. The inevitable backlash that's coming will be so bad, it will make today's lefties wish to the God they mock that they still only had Trump to deal with. I just hope that, when the pendulum does swing back, that the "cure" doesn't end up becoming worse than the disease.

On a nicer note, I have a Turbotax phone appointment in half an hour.  We just might get this 1099-K ordeal worked out yet!!

Never mind that the Nike "Swoosh" logo is clearly on the side of the "Satan Shoes". Never mind Lil Nas X (the dude selling them) refers to them as Nike Air Max '97. Since Nike told NBC they weren't involved, I guess they're someone else's shoes? Guess we'll be hearing about unauthorized trademark use?

To me, who's shoes, that there's human blood in them, is kind of beside the point. Satan shoes debute right before Easter? Popular culture is fine with slamming Christians, but Mohammad Shoes would never pass the drawing board.

I swear if next Easter, Oral-B debuts their Satan Toothbrush, I might lose my marbles.

I believe Nike as far as I can throw them.

It is high time I get with the program, so I ordered a new wireless printer/copier/fax machine.  My obsolete model is probably 15 years old and has been in need of upgrading.  This will also help with my writing.  Excelsior!

Furthermore, if Lil Nasty was truly misrepping Nike, I would expect Nike's team of lawyers--whom I assume are the best-and-brightest--to openly rebuke him and send cease and desist letters to him for his gross misrepresentation.

EXACTLY.

Instead of there being press on someone fraudulently using the Nike trademark (and the pending legal repercussion of that), we just have a faux denial to a faux news organization.  

...and why wouldn't they do this?  Plausible deniability works if there's power to back it up.  I've been part of this "satan shoes" discussion on several platforms, and more than a few people are happy to "prove" they're not Nike shoes because insert article where Nike told NBC they weren't.

Not sure that they are doing anything illegal. I have seen cases of other businesses taking an existing clothing article, making modifications and then on-selling. You are buying a Nike shoe which someone has bought and has then accessorised.

Illegality is not the point. This is a matter of immorality and unethical behavior. Are you here to troll?
