I actually like both. Both have shined in their moments. Never had trouble with Tourniquet vocals. Never had trouble with Tourniquet anything. What a great band.

Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
I voted Ritter
Just because he was so unique, dont get me wrong I could pick out Luke's voice anywhere too but Ritter is just special to me.
Ive always loved the first 5 albums
I just cant get into anything after Crawl To China
To me Ritter Tourniquet should be the doomy thrash oriented stuff while Easter should be the more soft rock Vanishing Lesson esque type stuff.

Nothing "soft rock" about Luke except Acoustic Archives.
I voted both. Luke sings on my favorite and "least favorite" Tourniquet albums. I like everything they have ever done.

I am not a big fan of Ritter's vocals, but I am definetely not very keen on Luke.

While Luke has his moments, it's hard to imagine a vocal performance better than Guy's on "Stop the Bleeding". That was out-of-this-world awesome.

I voted for Ritter. While I do like Luke's vocals, Guy's vocals on songs like Broken Chromosomes take the song to another level.

Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
I don't care for Guy's voice at all or a lot of the speedy stuff that Tourniquet did on the first three albums. All I will listen to is the Luke era, and then I don't listen to it often. I didn't get the newest album with all the guest vocals at all and probably won't.
Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
There are lots of modern influences in the Tourniquet ark album. I have listened to it a couple of times, only. The best song of this album is the rerecording of Broken Chromosomes.
My vote in this poll was for Ritter, even though I have to recognize that Lenaire was important in the vocals, as well.

Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
I remember thinking Guy was better in the studio than live, was holding the band back, and thinking that's why he was moved on.

Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
For me, nothing will beat the chemistry that Guy, Gary and Ted had on those first three albums. The culmination of that magic is found in one of the greatest Christian albums ever, pathogenic. There wasn't the choice of Gary and Guy, because I would have chosen that. I love the trade off and contrast of both their styles on those early Tourniquet albums.
I've always had to try hard to enjoy Lukes vocals, and I can't quite put my finger on why. Best way I could put it is that there seems to be a bit of a " nasally " quality to Lukes style ? Almost like a mutated " Guy Ritter " sound ? I know it sounds harsh, but I don't know any other way to describe it. Its not so bad that it keeps me from the Luke era albums by any means though. In his defense, I really do enjoy his clean vocals though.

Ok.
Pathogenic must be your favorite then ?
I could almost go with all Gary songs, but I still do like the contrast of the more traditional metal style of Guy included in the mix.

Other than the subject matter, that's one of the main reasons I don't like it. Too many " core " vocals and it seems to have filter into the Tourniquet sound as well ? I hope Ted goes back to a more Thrash-based sound on his next one.
