I kinda wish they had stayed the same lineup as the first album.
But I understand things change ...
Crawl to China was just a "bump in the road" for them. The albums since are all worth listening to, though there will be no shortage of disagreement with that opinion, I'm sure.

Honestly, that album wasn't that drastic from Vanishing Lessons. CC has still got some good songs on it. Claustro spelunker is a goood song.

Oh yes, "Crawl to China" does have some good stuff on it. I barely liked it.
It's just with SO MANY albums to buy ... sacrifice must be made somewhere.

Actually yes, Crawl To China does have some good songs on it...if they'd thinned the tracklist down a bit, it would have worked just fine for me. Yeah, Microscopic and Where Moth And Rust are a fine return to form, good stuff. The Ritter years just hold a special place for me personally that's all...
Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
I was revisiting the Ocular Digital DVD.
They played White Knucling the Rosary from Crawl to China and this song looked very good alive.
And despite the fact that MVoTR and WMaRD are good albums, those are too much different from their earlier albums. So still, either you prefer Guy's era, either you prefer Luke's era.

I wonder if Guy is ever going to get back into music again. What a waste of talent if not.

I definitely agree. The chemistry between Kirkpatrick, Ritter, and Lenaire was something very special.

Re: Tourniquet: Guy or Luke
Doesn't anyone like Guy's former band with Dee Harrington (of Saint)?
Holy Danger. To me that's better than most of what Tourniquet did. But that's just my lil opinion.

Sure, great stuff!
Not better than Tourniquet, but great stuff nevertheless.
Pretty rough stuff, but so were the Tourniquet demos in the rereleases too.
You can just imagine how great these songs would be with better production. I mean, I can definitely go with these recordings no problem. I love rough stuff. But man would this album SMOKE with money and proper studio time!

Oh for sure dude! That's why most people write this off. It's very rough. I am the type of person who can look through rough production though and see what could be. The diamond in the rough! Stryken's one and only album is the same way! Could have been HUGE with the proper money behind it.
