So, we should treat " average joes " opinions about things differently than the opinions of " celebrities " ? Now don't get me wrong, I believe we should talk to everyone we disagree with respect. But I don't think we should hold back on our views simply because someone is more famous than us.

I believe showing respect to an artist whose music has brought me a lot of joy.
Part of showing respect is not nit picking.

In general I agree, and I don't think I go out of my way to say a lot about band members. I do though, when they touch on theology or say disingenous things.

....but yeah....your opinion....my opinion.

To be fair, if someone in the CCM " realm " was putting forth unbalanced views or bad theology I would be just as outspoken. So its all about what we are passionate about I guess.

Personally, I think trying to tell someone that you only know via the internet that their theological views are wrong is useless and is just a way to pick a fight.

I don't think I have ever seen someone change their theological views based off what someone said in a forum.

Anyway....I don't think it is wrong to discuss in a forum about a band's message or views. I just think it can be done nonjudgemental and without jumping to conclusions. I also don't think the artist needs to be attacked directly with it.
