Re: Recently Watched Movies
Over a period of two months we watched all three Hobbit movies and the three Lord of the Rings (extended). It was my first time seeing the extended versions. I will say that the second time around, I enjoyed the Hobbit more, but it still can't hold it's own against Lord of the Rings. Much better done. Still made me cry at the end.

Ant-Man.
Fantastic Four - That was legit. My friends and I concluded we liked it because we are all math minded. Plus, if you go in expecting an action movie, you're going to have a bad time.
The Imitation Game - Just great.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I watched Spongebob's Sponge Out of Water with the kids. I need to get some of those brain cells back.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Ex Machina. Meh, it was ok. I can't say I'd recommend it unless you're a big sci-fi nut. It was well done but the story and characters were pretty derivative and predictable IMO. I was expecting a lot more, being that it was from the guy who wrote 28 Days Later, Sunshine, and The Beach.

I've been trying to get through the animated version of The Lord of the Rings. Finding it hard.

Now that I see the guy who did Ex machina did those three movies, it begins to make sense that it's a terrible film.Kerrick wrote:Ex Machina. Meh, it was ok. You don't like 28 Days Later or The Beach?!? (I'll admit, Sunshine had a very silly premise but I thought it was done so well!) Ah man, those were great I thought!
But yeah, Ex Machina was really just not that great...

I never saw the beach and I just didn't care for 28 Days Later.

Justice League: Gods and Monsters. I had to turn that off. Too much cussing and perverted language. I've gotten to the point that that stuff just ruins a movie for me.

Watched "Star Wars IV: A New Hope" yesterday with the boy. He watched it once before, but seemed uninterested. This time around he liked it. Next week we'll watch "The Empire Strikes Back"
