Re: Recently Watched Movies
A local brewery has movie nights every Monday. Last night was Elf. That's a good flick.

Elf is a great flick and a family favorite. Must watch every year.

On Thanksgiving night, we had another family stay the night and so us guys stayed up late and I was able to show them The Thing from Another World
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044121/?ref_=nv_sr_3
I love this movie and was so glad that my friends did as well.
I encourage all of you to watch it.

I saw that movie a LONG time ago but don't remember it much at all. I should re-watch it! I do love John Carpenter's version...

Re: Recently Watched Movies
How was it? I enjoyed the first one when it came out though my taste in movies has changed since then.
I recently watched Odd Thomas which I really enjoyed a lot and definitely recommend. It's fun, suspenseful, and overall a very enjoyable flick.

The Magnificent Seven on New Years' Eve with my son, my friend, and his sons. What a great movie! I could watch it over and over again. As far as westerns go, it's up there with Open Range.

What'd you think? I was disappointed, felt like it dragged. I think Mr. Jackson could have trimmed some fat here and there and fit three segments into two movies. Of course, he added a lot of fat in order to extend it to three. I also felt like, throughout the series, he focus too much on Thorin, so much so that it seemed like it should have been called "Thorin's Quest" rather than "The Hobbit."

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Over the holidays, I watched a bunch of Super Hero movies.
The latest two were:
Guardians of the Galaxy - Very good. Worth the money it made.
Captain America 2 - ehhh, I liked the first one better. I wish they had done more with the Falcon.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Due to some recent insomnia in the last couple of weeks.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
All the 1960''s James bond productions that are on Amazon free. What cheesy films. The worst was You only live twice... lame. Well, From Russia with love was fairly good.
