I wouldn't dub Leviathan as mythical.  Ancient Near East cosmology treats L as quite real.

Behemoth is the counterpoint to Leviathan. It’s the apex of beastliness and virility*, aggressive and trampling everything in its path. 

One could say that Leviathan is utter toxic feminity embodied, and Behemoth is utter toxic masculinity embodied. The mouth of chaos and the heel of tyranny.

* The word that gets translated “tail” in Job 40:17 is referring to another…appendage.

I wouldn’t use “clearly” in reference to this discussion. The language has mythopoetic aspects and Job already has probably the hardest language in the Hebrew Bible. Even aspects of the description that seem clear are not necessarily so—see Theonymic’s point about the “tail.”

That being said, I’m open to identifying the animals as dinosaurs.

Robert Fyall’s Now My Eyes Have Seen Him takes a different approach than I do and argues explicitly that Leviathan is satan and Behemoth is death. I disagree, but the book is worth a read.

Looking it up, I seemed to find more people saying that the Hebrew word was indeed properly translated as “tail.” Also, the passage in Job does not seem to paint either Behemoth or Leviathan in a negative light (to represent anything evil or bad or “toxic”) but merely as large, powerful creatures.

Forgot to bring headphones to gym (again) which resulted in having to do deadlifts to Post Malone playing on the sound system. And I should have known better because my university gym always plays the worst music possible for workouts

Reminds me of a review I saw a while back of my gym that was negative because they asked the reviewer not to sing out loud to the music in her earbuds.

Listening to other gym goers singing off-key to whatever they were listening to through their headphones would probably still sound better than Post Malone

Went to a Super Bowl party with my church. Don't care much about watching most sports, but it's a "Super Bowl" "party", and I went for the "party" part.

Now that it’s over, will news outlets finally shut up about Taylor Swift and her boyfriend?

I actually didn't know it was the Superbowl until yesterday, and I learned today who the teams playing were. My metamorphosis into a crochety old man will finally be complete once it comes and goes without me knowing at all hahahaha.
