Despite the fact that the song has profanity, the end of Overkill's "The Cleansing" ends with the repeated phrase "Jesus Cleanse Me".

Somewhere in Heaven
Song by Santana
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDgUUhY9N7w
Somewhere
In heaven
There is a place
Waiting for you and me
He made a promise
Gave every drop of Blood
Died on the cross
so we'd be free.
Oh Oh Oh Oh
Somewhere, Somewhere
In Heaven
There's a place
Waiting, waiting for you and me
He made a promise
Gave every drop of Blood
And died on the cross
So we'd be free.
Somewhere, Somewhere
In Heaven
There is a place
Waiting, waiting for you and me
He made a promise
When He gave every drop of His blood
Died on the cross
So we'd be free.

Suicidal Tendencies - “Give It Revolution”
I like the part where it says:
We’ll bow down to no other one except the Father and his Son. They can’t deny what he’s created.

Dio and Kerry Livgren - To Live For The King
Triumph - Fight The Good Fight
The days grow shorter and the nights are getting long
Feels like we're running out of time
Every day it seems much harder tellin' right from wrong
You got to read between the lines
Don't get discouraged, don't be afraid, we can
Make it through another day
Make it worth the price we pay
The Good Book says it's better to give than to receive
I do my best to do my part
Nothin' in my pockets I got nothin' up my sleeve
I keep my magic in my heart
Keep up your spirit, keep up your faith, baby
I am counting on you
You know what you've got to do
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
It's your only way
All your life you've been waiting for your chance
Where you'll fit into the plan
But you're the master of your own destiny
So give and take the best that you can
You think a little more money will buy your soul some rest
You'd better think of something else instead
You're so afraid of being honest with yourself
You'd better take a look inside your head
Nothing is easy, nothing good is free
But I can tell you where to start
Take a look inside your heart
There's an answer in your heart
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay
Every moment of your lifetime
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay
Triumph - Battlecry
I'd like to re-write
History books for all time
The future, the past
Search for the rhyme
The search goes on
For truth in everyone
Numbers on the wall
Counting sad young faces, count them all
The thrill of the fight
Killing's such a noble deed
And John said
Love is all we need
Should we forget
Or pause a moment to regret
Where have we been
I see things I wish I'd never seen
Battle cry
Brave men never fear
Battle cry
Never shed a tear
Battle cry
All good soldiers hear the Battle cry
So many, many miles from home
Oh Lord have mercy on my soul
I think the loneliest man in the -
- world is a soldier
Yes I know, try to believe
Political renaissance we need
It's the will of God
That we must heed
The image fades
To blacks and blues and subtle grey
It's modern song
The cry goes on and on

I can't remember where but I read that Rik Emmett of Triumph was a Lutheran.

Interesting. The Evergrey album "The Inner Circle" is about child abuse in the church. So "Touch of Blessing" carries that theme. Tough, real topic. The last track on the album, When The Walls Came Down has excerpts from David Wilkerson's sermon "A Call to Anguish" one of my favorite preachers of the past and one of the best sermons I've heard. I didn't know him or the Lord back when I bought the album but was moved by what he said anyway. Years later, hearing the sermon as a Christian I remembered it. In the context of the album it would be about repentance in the church for abuse, though it isn't directly the theme of the sermon.Dr3ams wrote:Evergrey - Touch of Blessing

The "When The Walls Go Down" track is awesome. The preaching fused with that music provokes some deep emotions.

Agreed. The sermon itself is profound and moving. It is a little weird listening to the track all these years later after listening to the sermon many times over and hear how it is edited. I always wonder whose idea the track was, where they heard the sermon and what made them put this together. Such a raw spiritual moment in Pastor David's life.Dr3ams wrote:The "When The Walls Go Down" track is awesome. The preaching fused with that music provokes some deep emotions.

Re: Most 'Christian' song from a SECULAR metal or hard rock artist or band
I never thought of Bargain from The Who as a song with deep Christian meanings until Rez Band mightily covered it. I especially appreciate Glenn's version on XX Years Live where he cries out at the end, "Jesus is the best I ever had, ever had!"
I'd gladly lose me to find you
I'd gladly give up all I had
To find you I'd suffer anything and be glad
I'd pay any price just to get you
I'd work all my life and I will
To win you I'd stand naked, stoned, and stabbed
I'd call that a bargain
The best I ever had
The best I ever had
I'd gladly lose me to find you
I'd gladly give up all I got
To catch you I'm gonna run and never stop
I'd pay any price just to win you
Surrender my good life for bad
To find you I'm gonna drown an unsung man
I'd call that a bargain
The best I ever had
The best I ever had
I sit looking 'round
I look at my face in the mirror
I know I'm worth nothing without you
In life one and one don't make two
One and one make one
And I'm looking for that free ride to me
I'm looking for you
I'd gladly lose me to find you
I'd gladly give up all I got
To catch you I'm gonna run and never stop
I'd pay any price just to win you
Surrender my good life for bad
To find you I'm gonna drown an unsung man

Adam's Apple - Aerosmith
Lyrics
Back when Cain was able
Way before the stable
Lighting struck right down from the sky
A mother ship with fate said let's give it a try
Conscience was related
Man he was created
Lady luck took him by surprise
A sweet and bitter fruit it surely opened his eyes
Well she ate it
Lordy it was love at first bite
Well she ate it
Never knowin' wrong from right right right
Even Eve in Eden
Voices tried deceiving
With lies that showed the lady the way
At first she stopped and turned and tried to walk away
Man he was believer
Lady was deceiver
So the story goes but you see
The snake was he and she just climbed right up his tree
So she ate it
Lordy it was love at first bite well she ate it
Never knowin' wrong from right right right
Whooooaaa...
Conscience was related
Man he was created
When lady luck took him by surprise
The sweet and bitter fruit it surely opened his eyes
Evil came like reignin'
Who knows who's to blamin'
Something tried to lay her to waste
And all she want and need was just a little taste
Whooa, she ate it
Lordy it was love at first bite
Well she ate it
Never knowin' wrong from right right right
Well she ate it
Lordy it was love at first bite yeah she ate it
Never knowin' wrong from right right
Oh that's right.

There's only one best answer to this, and why is it Evanescence's "Bring Me Back to Life?"
No, but maybe it doesn't exactly count, considering the guy who actually wrote it was a Christian, himself. It's really the first one that comes to mind though, and I reeeeally don't like that my mind goes to such a dark place so immediately. Lol

Many songs from Trouble:
Revelation (Life or Death)
The Fall of Lucifer
Psalm 9
Pray for the Dead
Fear No Evil
The Wish
Gideon
The Skull
Run to the Light
Heaven on My Mind
E.N.D.
All Is Forgiven
The Beginning of Sorrows
there could be more, depends on interpretation of the lyrics

Rising Sun by Cain's Offering (yeah, questionable band name) could be seen as a song from God's POV:
You always tried so hard to hide
All the pain you held inside
A little piece of heaven
Faded, tainted memory
You always smiled and played your part
A jaded soul and hardened heart
Like a child you stumbled in the dark
These are the hands that shelter you
When the rain begins to pour
This is the heart than listens
When you're down, can take no more
No matter what you're not alone
I am always by your side
I will be here when the worlds collide
Let it rain and let it thunder
You'll be safe from going under
You will not drown, I won't let you down
And when the winter comes I'll keep you warm
There's hope in every heartbeat
Beautiful and complete
When you're in too deep
You can always call on me
For no mountain is too high
No ocean is too wide
For me to come and be your rising sun
I am the one to light the way
Through the darkest of your days
A beacon in the night
To guide your ship back to the shore
A rain to wash away the stains
Of a thousand yesterdays
There's no need for you to be afraid
Let it rain and let it thunder
You'll be safe from going under
You will not drown, I won't let you down
And when the winter comes I'll keep you warm
There's hope in every heartbeat
Beautiful and complete
When you're in too deep
You can always call on me
For no mountain is too high
No ocean is too wide
For me to come and be your rising sun
I will always be here standing at your door
And my arms are open wide
Waiting here until your wave will reach my shore
Waiting for the eventide
Let all your grief cascade on me
I'll be the sea where they'll drown
There's hope in every heartbeat
Beautiful and complete
When you're in too deep
You can always call on me
For no mountain is too high
No ocean is too wide
For me to come and be our rising sun

Re: Most 'Christian' song from a SECULAR metal or hard rock artist or band
UK doom metal band Warning's first demo has a couple pretty Christian-sounding songs:
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Warning/Revelation_Looms/59634
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Warning/Revelation_Looms/59634
Warning - Revelation Looms wrote:When the world nears its end,
When the revelation looms,
They will pay for all their crimes;
Touch them with the hand of doom.
"Just believe in yourself"
That is all that they can say;
But when the day of judgement comes they will never find the way.
Can't you see it?
Are you blind?
Are you scared to change your mind?
Are you afraid to look a fool?
Or don't you want to live by rules?
You've got to stop and change your ways -
You cannot live with your mistakes.
You'll be lost and I'll be free.
You'll burn a sinner for all eternity.
Think that you know everything;
Don't believe in good or sin.
Time has come to change your ways
Because you will never win.
True believers have no fear -
The road to Heaven for you is clear.
Sinners, will you think again
When your final day is near?
What are you going to do when you're standing at your trial,
And you're looking back on life
Seeing your mistakes?
Thinking of yourself all of the way -
Well did you ever give a thought to the price that you would pay?
Warning - Born as One wrote:As I stare across the world there is nothing to behold.
Wicked people have control -
How can this be so?
Born as one.
There are those who do not care -
Killing and creating fear;
Justified by their own greed.
Hope is lost or so it seems.
Wicked leaders weave their ways,
They'll make the world a better place-
Blind fools follow their blind leaders.
Don't believe the things they say.
They want to take your mind away -
Don't let them have their way.
Wait until Judgement Day;
Then they'll have Hell to pay.
Living under the same sky,
We search for answers then we die.
Wishing I could change our ways.
Looking up to better days.
Born as one but living free.

I have no idea, though I am very curious too. Patrick Walker is the main guy behind the band and I haven't found any interviews or anything that touch on the matter to confirm one way or the other.
I saw Warning live a few years ago and IIRC he said a couple four-letter-words though that doesn't necessarily mean much. Interestingly, his current band's (40 Watt Sun) latest album includes a bonus live disc recorded at some Reformed church. 40WS's lyrics are mostly fairly dreary but clean, as are Warning's.
