Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Now that I can post links, I am officially dangerous....
How do I get the video content to show up in the post though? (like the ones above) My attempts have been unsuccessful.

Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Thanks! I would not have figured that out.
This is some good stuff that few know about. It is an early band of Klayton (Circle Of Dust, Brainchild, Argyle Park, Klank, Celldweller, etc.). He is formerly known as Scott Albert, that is how I knew him when he lived in NY.
Wish they would remaster and release this officially. Not sure that will ever happen though.

Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Didn't they have a song on a comp tape? They remind me of The Crucified.

Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
I don't know of any compilation they have been on. Since this was a demo and never officially released, the chances of it ending up on an official record label-released comp would be a lot lower.
Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
It was on the first R.E.X. Demolition release.

Yeah dude, the "Black Feather Shake" by Panic was really cool. It had some great groove in there. I've actually seen/heard a good amount of those bands already. (Not all of them though, but a good chunk of em)Temple of Blood wrote:Did anyone like any of the songs that I posted?
I love Artillery too. B.A.C.K. is my fav by them.
Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Some of them are great but at least half of those bands, I would not consider "obscure." Especially Destruction, Nuclear Assault, Demolition Hammer, Artillery....maybe we need a working definition of what is truly considered "obscure."Temple of Blood wrote:Did anyone like any of the songs that I posted?

Me either. I can get more obscure than that!
Be back soon ...
Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Here's a band I consider worthy of being called obscure.
They were on a small label, Wild Rags Records, back when it existed.
They rarely if ever got talked about in the fanzines.
I have a few others that fit this bill too, but I'll start here.
But I'm interested in hearing about others I don't know about.

Here's one more for now....Canadian band, technical thrash.
This was Vector long before Vector ever existed. I remember their releases were very hard to find.

I like some of those song ToB, I've heard most of those bands.
I like the music of Obliveon but like Vektor, don't like the vocals.

That first oblivion album is amazing, and the rest are good too.
They blow Vector out of the water!!!

Re: Obscure thrash metal bands
Intruder was a good band, sort of Anthrax like instead of the bay area sound. Metal Blade never really pushed them which is too bad.

My bassist and I are big Intruder fans. We're playing a show next year opening for them actually.
We're also Gammacide fans.
