Son of Nun wrote:Where did you find No More Hell to Pay on vinyl? I only see that for $200 now.
I Bought second Coming, No More Hell to Pay and Fallen colored vinyl from John Flach for $200 for all 3. They are signed by Perry and the other 3 band members. John Flach was the guy that sold Perry his Stryper bike. Kind of a small world. The tracking says it arrived here in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. I should have them by Friday.

Petra Captured in Time and Space on vinyl. This is one of my favorite live albums. That was the first Petra album I bought on cassette in July 1986 and have borrowed More Power to Ya, Not of This World and Beat the System from friends prior to this and liked them. Now 35 years later to the month I obtained the vinyl. I now have the 4 formats on cassette, CD, vinyl and video. There are slight variations on most of these. For example:
1. The video doesn't have Computer Brains and they do a great live version of this song.
2. The band breaks into a great 7:09 extended live version of Without Him We Can do Nothing on the video (Never Say Die about 3:29 minutes long). On all the other formats it has an apreviated version/medley of 2:36 minutes long.

Re: Recent Purchases (Christian)
CD. I found it on Amazon for a reasonable price, at the time there were like 20 left. It must have taken a month to deliver, but that's how the shipping costs can be kept low
It's from an Argentinan label by the way. It's a simple jewelcase but the CD and the booklet look like they're of good quality, and according to discogs it's legit (at least for now). I do seriously hope that it will be picked up by a reputable European/US label though.

Right on. I've made a couple music splurges recently (i.e. Motorband discography), plus the upcoming Warpriest and Maiden are must-buys so it'd probably be prudent to delay any additional purchases for now... but it's on the list!

For Bandcamp Friday I ordered Diatheke's CD bundle. Their latest song Splendour is absolutely fantastic by the way.

Re: Recent Purchases (Christian)
It's Bandcamp Friday today so I made a few small purchases:
Ritual Servant - Hearers And Doers (single)
Xaitopia - The Long Journey
Jordskaelv - Klokken Er Tolv Midnat (reissue)
The new Ritual Servant track is excellent as expected. What surprised me was the Jordskaelv. It's a rerelease of their old EP but with three new tracks which are really quite good and a major improvement from their old stuff (which I really like as well). Fans of atmospheric black/doom take note! I haven't gotten to the Xaitopia but intend on doing so momentarily.

I remember listening to this and being impressed too! I'm glad that Sneeuwstorm Produkties is back. The Duister Maanlicht album that came out on Vision of God last year was definitely the best I have ever heard from that band too.

Re: Recent Purchases (Christian)
Nice! SSP put out some good stuff over the years indeed; I'm glad to see them back as well.
I've been enjoying the Xaitopia EP. I've only read through some of the lyrics so far, but they're pretty good and boldly Christian which I really appreciate.
I ordered O.L.T.A.S. - Illusion Of Control directly from the band. They just notified me that it's shipping out tomorrow. I've been looking forward to a proper release from them for a while and have high expectations for this EP.

Re: Recent Purchases (Christian)
Yesterday I got an email from Discogs that an album in my wishlist just came up for sale: Antestor - The Defeat Of Satan (new, unplayed!!!) for 50 EUR. As much as I wanted to, I didn't buy it but I checked an hour or so later and it was already gone. I'm curious if anyone here was the one to buy it!

^How do you like it? I used to be a big Cynic fan until their lyrics got progressively more new-agey... I've seen that CD for cheap but the samples I've heard never clicked with me for whatever reason. Maybe I should give it another chance.

I like it more than reunion-era Cynic so far TBH, but I am not hearing a lot of guitar solos which I would love to hear.
