^It's not as spectacular as it seems! I'm a fan of Orphaned Land since 2015, and have all their albums now since Mabool (that's just four but still). The reason the growls on those albums don't put me off, is that the music is simply too good, and there's enough clean vocals to make up for the growls. It's also one of the bands I listen to that my wife loves too, even though she isn't a metalhead (but somehow has a higher tolerance for non clean vocals). Besides, that Wintersun album contains the instrumental album as a bonus disc. So it isn't as bad as it seems (yet?)

Haha very cool.  Sahara was always my favorite Orphaned Land album though it's got a lot more death growls.  Someday you might should check that one out. 

Albert wrote that Liber III is shipping today.  I'm always excited for anything musical Mr. Bell is a part of and have high hopes for this one.

Good choice!    It's impossible to find on CD (other than the silly Amazon print-on-demand I think...) but I think you may also really like their EP Songs Of Hope And Sorrow.

I might like it, but I've never paid for non-physical music and will probably only do so in extremely exceptional cases (like charity singles and such). So maybe just wait until the guy puts it on bandcamp for free then ^^

And by the way, there's an instrumental metal project called Nahtram which makes pretty similar music (except the vocals of course). You might like it, it's available for free on bandcamp.

I'm usually not too into purely-instrumental albums, but I'll check it out!

p.s. there ARE physical CDs available of that Far Beyond EP... it's just that they're those print-on-demand Amazon ones with no lyrics, liner notes, etc. - just the cover artwork for the insert.

The digital version is not free on Bandcamp, but it's only 3 EUR which is totally worth it.

I love the Innerwish stuff, if you like Diviner I think you'll like them. The debut (Waiting for the Dawn) the vocals take a little to get used to (A very young Yiannis Papanikolaou who is the lead for Diviner) but great straight forward Greek power metal.The reissues sound great too vs the originals that Ive listened to on the web.

Cool!  I'll check Innerwish out some more.  I like what I've heard of them.  They were recommended to me when I was asking for similar sounding bands to Within Silence (also on Ulterium).  Do you like them?  Their two albums are both really great and exceptionally catchy.  I got to meet them briefly when I saw them play during my most recent visit to Slovakia.  They're very friendly and cool guys.

I will be picking up the Within Silence stuff soon but they didnt catch me the same as Innerwish thus grabbing them first. I now own 20 Ulterium releases and have a few more to go then I can be customer of the year atleast on Bandcamp.

I got my 12yr old hooked on Theocracy to the point I might be buying him the Iam Hoodie for Christmas

I really dig Within Silence and definitely recommend picking their albums up!  That's rad about your kiddo.  He's got good taste!    I'm hopeful my little one comes to like metal too once she's old enough to appreciate music.

Same here! Yeah he listens to alot of what I do, just dont tell my wife . Cant get my oldest off of rap  (at least its Christian).
