VENEZUELAN SITUATION

That was crazy. 

A couple of days ago a woman of 30 years old was shot to the head by someone in the infinite lines to purchase some of those hard-to-find products by a man who wanted to take her place, as she refused to let him take her place he took a gun out of his pocket and shot the lady.

Today we got a PayPal notification that my wife's account is closed preventively, she called PayPal and they asked her the reason she was getting money on her account, she said that she was receiveing donations from friends from abroad for the situation in our country, she also said that we were privately selling CDs and other stuffs on Facebook and forums, then the PayPal rep. told her that PayPal wasn't to use it for personal purpose and that because of the government restriction to deal with $$$ the account would remain restricted for at least 45 days. After this time they will revise the case and will do: 1) close the account permanently 2) reinstate full access to the account.

Situation here is getting worse everyday. The last we heard from a friend in the army is to buy candles, bottled water, and canned supplies. There are rumors in the army that a coup is in the works. President Maduro just announced that he just signed a state of exception decree to face external and internal threats. For the people this just means DARK TIMES ahead and violations of human rights.

I read an article that said President Maduro has declared the current problems in your country the fault of the United States and has declared the USA his mortal enemy ..then this paypal thing happens to ya...sounds like a possible government investigation to me...(by the way..in the states people use paypal all the time to accept donations and sell products from home..)

Chavez used to said it and now all the people in the government says that all of our problems are because of the USA. For them all of our problems are from someone on the outside, they always say that they have not fault at all. Crazy.

When you say a possible government investigation you mean from Venezuela or USA government? I ask because since PayPal is from US or based in Singapore I doubt the Venezuelan government has anything to do with this at all.

I could be wrong (hopefully so in this situation) but what you posted sounds like typical US government...Like I said, the things paypal has a problem with ya over are things we do in the states all the time without any problems..

I would take anything said by Eva Golinger like a grain of salt, she is known as a HUGE Chavez ideas lover. She also had a TV program in national TV and is very well known as a Chavista. (Chavez supporter)

Just Google her name like this Eva Golinger Chavez and you'll see different pictures of her and Chavez hugging. She is a lefty activist of the Venezuelan government

Interesting, hopefully those secret meetings will be for good. Even thou I wonder why they met in secret? Why not share what they are looking with this dialogue? I see it as a husband who goes in secret to meet with a lover, if he goes in secret nothing good awaits the wife. 
For the times my nation is living this should be a public thing, expose your ideas and share it with everyone to get a consensus and get out of this situation as soon as we can.

Can I take the meaning of this to be that more and more are becoming disatisfied?  Aren't the poor the  ones who have traditioally supported Chavez/ Maduro?

Yes, mano of those that once supported Chavez, Maduro are becoming dissatisfied and many are opening their eyes, I have heard lots of them saying that if a referendum or new elections take place right now they will support someone who is not related to the actual government

Living in Venezuela is a luxury, one that I don't want. I feel tired
