Work situation
I'll try to keep this short as possible.
I found out in January that the facility I work at is closing the specific site I work from. I later found out that I will have 2 options: to accept a one step demotion and 10 to 12% pay cut or resign in good standing. Monday, I got a letter telling me I had to make a decision by today and if I didn't return the paperwork they would assume I was resigning effective October 31.
I turned the paperwork back in yesterday accepting the demotion - I can't be without a job - they pay half our insurance.
Also, I will eb relocated to one of the other 2 sites. One is 38 miles from home, the other is 12.
My prayer request is this: in a couple weeks when I sit down with my boss, her boss and our HR officer to negotiate salary that we come to an agreement that works for my family and the organization and that I get transferred to the closer site so the pay cut won't be quite so noticeable.

Re: Work situation
Thanks guys. It's tough to give it up and realize that even though it looks and sounds bad, God has a reason for it happening...
I like to plan and right now I feel like I don't have one. It's driving me

Re: Work situation
And I just found out that my new location when my current site closes will be the one closer to home.
So I may have to choose between 3 different positions!

Amen brotha! Dude, that is great. Wasn't it just yesterday that you were asking for some "open doors" in this area? Be sure to keep us all posted!

Re: Work situation
It was yesterday. The interview call I got today is a job I applied for at about 3:00 yesterday. It didn't even take 24 hours for them to call me.

God is good! Haha I just love His timing on things. Sometimes He'll make you wait for seemingly ever, and then other times BAM!

Re: Work situation
Well the interview today was not-so-good. It's for a skilled nursing facility (SNF, or loosely "sniff") and while I have experience that translates well, the two people who interviewed me were obviously nervous that I've never worked in a SNF, understandably. The salary will also be lower than what I will be paid after the transfer/demotion at the end of October...
Hopefully the other interview I have this month goes better...
