He’s passionate about his love of Christian metal (but unfortunately also his disdain for the actual belief).

I know he’s a good guy… he just has a major stumbling block towards Christianity from some past experiences.

I think so, but given that he can’t restrain himself from taking shots I don’t see it lasting long if he does.

It almost seemed like he wanted to get banned. Karam warned him, and his response was to spout more disdain towards Christianity and say goodbye to the rest of us, he knew he was going to be banned and said that stuff anyway

That’s true, but over time he may want to return. He could’ve just stayed away after he was suspended… but he came back (and he knew he was on thin ice).

I bet he’ll be lurking and watching us.

Pro-Zak aka Candlemass was banned once… but he came back. He’s calmed down recently, but he is known to occasionally stirs up things with his anti-Protestant jabs.

I would say Dust received a 35 year ban and there was a typo and was supposed to say "see you IN 2059"

People who cannot stop "stealing candy bars" sometimes get banned from the "store" for life.

His behavior is more akin to standing around in your store trying to discourage people from shopping there because he once bought a product (at a different store) that was past its expiration date and tasted horrible. He just can't deal with the fact that other people have not had an experience like that (or at least choose not to let it bother them as much) and still want to buy things.

I'm tired. Hope that made sense.

I hope Dust gets unbanned eventually. We need him as thorn in our flesh lest we get too comfortable in our self congratulating circle jerk here. I want him back in the flock too, so let‘s pray for the lad.

He certainly was helpful for when I forget to think about theological matters. I was forced to so I can answer him.

In a way, he helped to keep things lively. He was like a sparring partner to keep you on your toes.

I’m not saying he was a villain… but he was the black sheep that was always a little out of step, he kinda made things a little more interesting. If you go river rafting, some people like a smooth boring ride. Others want challenges and white water moments.

Just my 2 cents…

Yeah I think Karam's 2059 was a reference to Dust's ban sentence. Though I think it's actually for 12 years so probably just a typo.

While I certainly won't miss the hassle of constantly having to deal with Dust's persistent condescending behavior and stirring the pot... I am saddened it had to end this way. He was given a looooooooooot of grace and patience over the years because I think everyone else here would love to see him repent and hoped that the Christian influence here may be used for that end - I sure did.
