I thought the unreleased first mix from 2018 was very good and worthwhile.  
Aside from that, what more can they do with the sonics or mixing or mastering that would make this album better or more intriguing?  The original demo had horrible sound quality and I could see fiddling with that but the album itself stands on it's own at this point IMO.

The only thing left to do at this point is a traditional remix (like Pillars of Humanity) or a brand new re-recording with Roger’s vocals remixed over top. 

Although re-recordings are usually never well received by the hardcore fans, it still would be interesting to hear an updated or re-imagined take on it. I would view it as a companion to the remastered original. 

Bottom line… the original recording has already been remastered a couple times. There’s nothing more that can be done for it that way.

Answering some people in a facebook post, Scott Waters says "(is) a sort of (a re-release)" and "nope. not really" when he was asked about if this was the 2nd re-release

I wonder if it's re-recorded with Scott or someone on vocals??? I doubt it, but that's all I can think of at this time

@Pethead, I know you dont like Rogers vocals but man with that comment I may have to have the police or fire department come do a wellness check..... The vocals on that album are an abomination.

I don’t like them, particularly, but they’re essentially standard metalcore.

I still don’t know what term to use for Roger’s vocals. “Mongoloid” was the closest I’ve seen as a description.

To be fair, I like VR. I like this album. I would just like it better with another vocalist. And I’m not all that picky with thrash vocals.

Roger was always better when he was employing his more serious-sounding death-growl style. "From The Dead" is a good example. "The Whipping Post" is another. And of course he started using that style more often on the last 2 albums, especially RUTE.

I never cared as much for his vocals on songs like "Salvation", "Mulligan Stew", "White Throne", "Out Of The Will", the "Space Truckin" cover, etc.

Exactly! That’s why I’ve always said RuTE had his best vocals by far.

He had over the top Mike Muir style vocals on Destruction Comes.

I once played the Human Sacrifice album for my home-schooled kids, aged 8 and younger. As soon as the vocals kicked in ALL the kids started laughing. When I asked what was so funny, my oldest said "It's Cookie Monster!"
