I used to think Christian rock was really, really lame.

When I say "used to", I mean as of last year or so.

An odd admission from a guy who sings in a Christian metal band I'm sure.

Well, I've been listening to Petra's "Not of this World".  It's just an EXCELLENT album and has everything you would want in a rock album, Christian or secular.

Some of it reminds me of Foreigner, some reminds me a bit of Deep Purple.

Good players and excellent songwriting.  This stuff should've been played on mainstream rock radio in the 80s.

Sometimes I love it when I find out that I'm wrong about something.

So ... what's the next album that I need to check out?  It could be from any Christian rock band.
