Brian Johnson back with AC/DC?

It appears Brian and Phil Rudd are back!

A photograph of a pair of AC/DC members at a Vancouver recording studio has surfaced a week after a report of a fan encounter in the Canadian city that furthered speculation about a new album from the Australian rockers.



Steve Newton of The Georgia Straight reports Vancouver resident and hardcore AC/DC fan Crystal Lambert and friend Glenn Slavens captured an image of singer Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd having a laugh on the outside deck of The Warehouse on August 5.

While Rudd's name was mentioned in Newton's rock news story last week about a fan who ran into the drummer and guitarist Stevie Young in the city, the appearance of Johnson at the recording studio is a surprise; the singer left the group's "Rock Or Bust" tour in the spring of 2016 after being advised by doctors to that he was risking total hearing loss, while Axl Rose stepped in to help the band complete the final dates of the trek.

Interesting. If true, what's changed with Brian?

I know he had been working with someone who invented a device that would let him be able to hear. Not sure how it works but apparently it works well enough for him to be able to hear and protect what hearing he has left.

This is awesome news!  Axl's voice is shot to me.  Johnson will deliver the goods.

Good for him and yeah, I can't stand Axl's voice these days.

Sad...I never liked AC/DC. But with Axl singing for them i could tolerate the sound.

As AC/DC fans continue to speculate about the band's plans for new music, a photograph of co-founder Angus Young at a Vancouver recording studio has surfaced.
Journalist Steve Newton has published an image of the iconic rocker and his nephew, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, having a smoke break on the outside deck of The Warehouse taken by fans Crystal Lambert and Glenn Slavens, who previously captured a photo of singer Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd in the same location.
As for future images, Newton writes: "There might not be any newer ones to come, because word got out that the Aussie earbusters were being spied on, and now there's a big umbrella on the deck blocking the sight of any legendary rockers sipping coffee or whatever's in those white mugs."
AC/DC have recorded their last three albums at the Canadian studio owned by rocker Bryan Adams, including 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip", 2008's "Black Ice" and 2014's "Rock Or Bust."

Actually, I think it would be fun if Bryan Adams and AC/DC teamed up and did a song together.  Bryan's raspy voice could actually work with the band's music.  It would be a fun one time thing.

I own several downloads of his music.  He did rock!  I think he could have pulled off a metal sound if he wanted to.

According to the site, the new recordings will include "Malcolm playing rhythm guitar on all tracks!"

Malcolm, who co-founded AC/DC with Angus in 1973, died in November 2017 at the age of 64 after suffering from dementia and failing health for several years.

The question I have is, can Brian's still sing at all?

I don't remember the band, but there was a blues rock band that he recently did a song with and he still sounded strong.  Of course, he has had some time off for his voice to heal.

Yep, he can still do it. His voice was never great anyway but he pretty much sounds the same on the blues track the All day mention. I can't remember what it is either.
