What a crappy movie--so glad I didn't pay for it.
90 minutes of the most boring movie ever made leading up to an hour of the most uninspired fight scenes put to film. Turns out Affleck was perfect for the movie.
When I first saw the movie, I didn't like it. Then I saw the extended version, and it made a lot more sense and was a better movie. Still thought it was bloated. But made more sense.

How was it?!
I thought it was as good as "A New Hope" and "The Empire Strikes Back". It ties in immediately to sethe the stage for the original movie.
SPOILER ALERT:
N o scrolling the extra at the beginning and no hidden Disney/Marvel scene at the end.Affleck was great in the role of Batman, Wonder Woman was great the bit she was in it, I admit theirs flaws but its still an enjoyable movie to memessiaen77 wrote:Batman vs. Superman

I enjoyed it personally. I, too, like the extended version better as it does make a bit more sense. I even liked the darker take on Superman. But, this was more of a Batman movie as he is the character taking the lead in the Justice League movies. I thought that the files on the other meta-humans was a nice way to introduce other JL characters without bringing them into the main story. The only thing I didn't really like was how they did Lex Luthor with him being so cartoonish in his actions. However, at the end when he is in jail, he comes off more creepy and I think they will swing more that way in the future with him being just super evil.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Just finished "Moon" with Sam Rockwell. A pretty neat low budget movie. Second one I've watched about clones. What's next, "The Clone Wars"? (shudder)

Never heard of that one, but I like Sam Rockwell in pretty much everything I have seen him in...so I need to check it out.

It was Duncan Jones (David Bowie's son) first movie.

The Wedding Singer. Not always a fan of Adam Sandler, but he was good in this.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
So I finally relented and watched Episodes I-III of Star Wars with the boy. They still suck compared to the original trilogy imo.

I didn't see that one. I thought a documentary on women's makeup would be kind of boring.
I did however see Rogue One on Saturday and thought it was fantastic!

Planet Of The Apes (1968)
Beneath The Planet Of The Apes (1970)
Never watched any of the movies in this series, have always wanted too, I love sci-fi and enjoy Charlton Heston. So its cool to start this series from the beginning

Being an enormous fan of the first one, and a huge Denzel Washington fan, I really look forward to watching this. I, unfortunately, have not seen The Seven Samurai.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I really liked it! It was a great modern western that wasnt too ridiculous and raunchy like most, it felt a lot like a homage to a lot of classic westerns and it really did capture the feel of the originalNew Creation wrote:Hardcore Christian wrote:The Magnificent Seven

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I'll try and remember all of them:
Finding Dory - Great, fun, family movie. Really good time that totally captured the spirit of the original.
Risen - Fantastic. Highly recommended. Reminds us of Jesus and how often we forget who He is.
Kubo and the Two Strings - Fair. Some scenes were too creepy for my younger daughters. There were major character flaws and no backstory so you remain lost much of the movie. Probably won't watch again.
Rogue One - As stated above, highly recommended. But then, I am biased about pretty much everything Star Wars.
Predators - Terrible movie. Terrible remake. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
