Veronika's interview is in a couple days!  She'll be headed off to Bratislava in a few hours and once all that goes through, she'll be able to come here for good!!!

Also, we have a wedding date!  August 27th is the big day.

  Hahahahaha yes!!!  That is fantastic.  Let me know when Maiden gets back to you.  I realize it's probably somewhat short notice for them but heck, they've got a jet so I'm sure it won't be too difficult.

In other news, all the medical stuff is DONE.  Tomorrow is Veronika's interview (prayers appreciated though it should go very smoothly/easily) and then she'll have her visa!!!

Haha well it's going to be a pretty intimate wedding (<20 people total) but in a few months we'll have a post-wedding celebration and you guys would definitely be invited.    We opted to do it this way because of the short notice from visa stuff and also I have a very large family/community who are close by and Veronika has a smaller family who has to travel so the wedding would be super lopsided.  Plus, neither of us like having all the attention on us by a bunch of people haha.

But in other news...  OUR VISA IS APPROVED!  In a week or so she'll have her visa in hand!  Thank you everyone for your prayers.  The interview was super quick, easy, and painless.  The people at the embassy were very friendly and professional and it all went wonderfully!

How was Veronika's interview?

It went really well!  She was super impressed with how professional, friendly, and QUICK they were!  She said they asked her like five questions and were like, "ok, that's it, congratulations, your visa is approved."

Less than a month away!!!  Wahoo!  Last night we pinned down our honeymoon location (mountains near Yellowstone National Park), today I ordered our rings, and we now have a photographer nailed down!  It's all coming together... 

Glad everything is moving smoothly for you guys.

Wow, the wedding is THIS SATURDAY!!!  Between the planning and all that goes into preparing for one's own wedding, Veronika's parents and sister being in town this week, and craziness at work... it's been pretty hectic for me and a bit stressful.  It's also been difficult for Veronika and I to spend much of any quality time together because we're so busy with our families.  Prayers appreciated!  And if y'all have any marriage advice... you can go ahead and send it my way haha.  It's all been very good though, and with how busy everything has been, I haven't had much time to be nervous!

I'm sure it will more than a relief when it is over and you both can settle into your lives together.

So your date is Saturday the day after me and my wife are married for three years.

When it comes to advice, I think it's kinda difficult. But what I can say is that it's a good thing to always be ready to improve and to listen to each other. You will never reach the status of a perfect husband/wife; the closest thing to that is humility and willingness to improve

Oh, and read Tim Kellers book about marriage if you haven't already

Oh my goodness YES.  This week has been pretty hectic and a bit stressful - especially for Veronika with her family being in town and all.  We're pretty dang excited for all this hoopla to be over and done and we can get on to our MARRIAGE, not the ceremony!

Wahoo, congratulations!  And thank you for the advice.  Funny you mention that book... we've actually been reading through it together!  Unfortunately we ran out of time so we haven't finished it yet but intend to on our honeymoon.
