Random thoughts...

The house I will be living in shares a lot with another.  The front one, I just found out, will be occupied with three guys I know(The fourth goes to the same church).  Saw one of them tonight, talked about it and so that's cool.  Also, figured out that since this is a "discipleship house" that once a week, at least, all the housemates will reserve a night to hang out together.  Whether that means play games, watch something, read and discuss the Bible or something else.
I'm getting more and more excited.  Just one month!

Dangit, I don't know what I did but my back is really sore!  It's been that way for a couple days now and really hurts to bend down even.  Sigh...

I helped my dad move a pile of fallen branches for garbage pick-up. It meant de-homing a family of wee little toads, though.

I hope all of us American folks had a good 4th Of July!  (And I hope everyone else did too. )  I flew out to Nebraska to visit my girlfriend and her "American family" as she calls them.  (When she was a foreign exchange student at 16, they took her under their wing.)  It was such a wonderful trip.  Everyone there was so welcoming, friendly, and genuine.  However, she's in Chicago now and will be going back to Barcelona for school in a month.  We don't know when we'll see each other next and that sucks...

Yup, she's from Slovakia.  She's studying in Barcelona to get her PhD in Linguistics.  We met when she came to UC Santa Cruz for a semester of studying abroad and completely hit it off and the rest is history as they say...

Ah, dang.  Well, I'm sure God will help it all work out.  I'll be praying for y'all!

Thanks; I really appreciate it!  We had a "Skype date" last night...  Gonna have to get used to that! 

Well, the more Skype dates you have, the better will be next time you see her!

Ever notice that certain names seem to go through phases where they disappear for a while? For example, i have never met a "Sylvester" in my life. Same with "Barney" ( i wonder if either the purple dinosaur or the simpsons character had anything to do with that) or "Malcolm".

It's refreshing to see some metalheads who don't listen to dark funeral or behemoth and that crap exclusively.

That same guy, I could have sworn had a baphomet tattoo and some other stupid ones, but they up and disappeared.  He still wears a pentagram necklace, but I have no idea what happened to those tattoos.  I thought he had them on his arms, but I guess not.

Also, we were able to talk about how Ensiferum used to be good until they decided to be crappy.

In hindsight, its refreshing when "the gentle music immediately rang a bell" isn't the description of what a fellow metalhead listens to.

It was Samon, I think, which would be an appropriate description.

I feel kind of bad because a lady at work hates me.
Context: there's this nasty old lady at my work named Judith.  She hates everyone.  All she does is complain and talk about how she makes her own tomato sauce.  
Anyways, I saw this girl who I work with and she tells me she was being hit on by these strange guys, asked me where I was to help.  She said she told one that she's dating someone and the guy said "That's alright.  Just give me your number and we can keep in contact."
I told her she should have given her the store's number and said her name was Judith.  She laughed.  Well, apparently Judith found out I said that and called me a "dumb***" and my fellow coworkers unloading a truck monkeys.  My friend heard it and turned around, she scurried off.
When I found out, all I could do was laugh and pray to God that she become full of love.
