Stryper "Fallen" - News, release dates, and cover artwork

It is time for all the Stryper fans out there to get psyched as we will be unleashing our new album, FALLEN on October 16th! The first song from the album, "Yahweh" will be released the week of July 6th! In the meantime, enjoy the awesome artwork for the album! On the album artwork for "Fallen" we're proud to say that we had the honor of working with Stanis Decker again (who also did "No More Hell To Pay"). We sent Stanis the concept about Lucifer being cast out of heaven and he sent us this amazing illustration, capturing the original idea perfectly. We're excited to be able to finally show all of you!

Fantastic artwork, I love the "finger of God" portion....it seems like a nod to the original YABA cover.

I'm diggin it. Now let's hope the music matches!

My first impression is its very Power Metalish in style

I was hoping for something different

Its just way more cartoonish then NMHTP

I love the Rob Rock version ... it's one of my favorite tracks from that album.

I also had no idea that at one point Rush took their fashion cues from Abba ...

Seems that germans really liked this song.. 

The artwork is really cool!

This has always been one of my favorite ABBA songs, and this band covers it perfectly. I bought this song years ago and enjoy it to this day.




As for the Stryper artwork...makes use of orange and blue again and that is getting a bit too prevalent in cover art these days. But that's a minor critique on what is an excellent image that certainly captures what the band wanted!

I agree with Hardcore...  It's cool artwork, but doesn't fit the music IMO.  If I didn't know it was Stryper, judging solely on the artwork, I would guess it was a young European power metal band.  But whatever, the artwork is neat and I'm sure the music will be good.  I just don't think the artwork and music are well matched (unless Stryper takes a dramatic turn in their musical style!).

It's a similar cover style as NMHTP....

No one seemed to have an issue with that one meeting their style.

Anyone notice that the ones who don't really like the artwork are the ones who listen to bands with tree root logos?

NoOne, No More Hell To Pay seemed less "anime"/Dungeons & Dragons style to me.  Whatever, it's cool artwork and definitely is an attention-grabber!

It doesn't bother anyone that this is ( in essence ) the same concept as THWTD ? Plus, its a similar concept as the last album.

Stryper it seems, is in a creative rut.
