Any The Choir fans?
I bought recently The Choir: Wide-eyed wonder.
One of their best albums.
I just love the athmospheric, moody sound they create. And Derri Daugherty, his voice is just awesome.

Yeah, I haven't listened to much other than Circle Slide, but they're on my list of "gotta check out more." Similar bands I love are Daniel Amos and The Prayer Chain.

The Wide-Eyed Wonder is their best album in my opinion and my favorite for sure. It was my go to album when I was single and not in the mood for metal. A great choice!
I think you'll find that oteis is a big fan as well.

Yes sir! Great fan! I have most of their albums. One of my favorite bands. I think my favorite is Circle Slide, but you can't go wrong with The Choir. Their latest album was in my top5 for 2014.

I have their older albums. I have been out of music for a while but for what I have heard I definitely have to get their new music.

Own practically their whole catalog. Big fan since WEW. Keep in touch with Skinny and Derri on Failbook.

Speckled Bird is my favorite although Wide-Eyed Wonder and Circle Slide are good seconds. Good mix of upbeat and mellow songs. Their last several albums have been more mellow than rock - still great but not as great.

This is a band I should like - I love alternative music. But for some reason I never could get into them.

I love their old catalog, have a hard time getting into anything post-Speckled Bird. Wide Eyed Wonder and Circle Slide are my favorites. Their best of "Love Songs And Prayers" is good too.

Then I'm guessing you haven't heard Wide-Eyed Wonder

Chase The Kangaroo! Killer album, love it. I didn't care for Wide Eyed Wonder as much, but I realize it was written perhaps in happier circumstances whereas Chase The Kangaroo had some tragedy behind it. While I don't wish tragedy for anyone, the heavy emotion made for a powerful album.
Circle Slide was also good too.

Listening to Speckled Bird right now. It's one of my top ten albums of all time.

Mike will play bass on this tour. Down the road, Mike said that Pray Naked will be re-released to boot.

Huge fan of The Choir going clear back to the Youth Choir "Voices in Shadows" days. I've always appreciated their portrayal of faith in the real world. Strong band. I also have a couple of side projects of theirs, At the Foot of the Cross vols. 1 & 2 and the City On A Hill praise and worship series. Fantastic!

Great band! I love their very early Youth Choir stuff too. They were called Youth Choir on their first two releases (Voices in Shadows and Shades of Grey).
They were prompted to change their name on their 3rd release, "Diamonds and Rain", simply because they were not youth anymore. All the same band to me!
I love their first 5 releases! "Circle Slide" kinda disappointed me for whatever reasons. Just didn't like the direction they were going I guess.
I'll always love their first 5 releases though. I'd rank them as follows:
1. Chase the Kangaroo (A very good and dark album, very unlike most of what was available in the Christian market in '88. A very nice blending of Alternative Rock and Post-Punk. Fantastic album actually one of my all time faves! 10/10)
2. Diamonds and Rain (A great Post-Punk/Pop Rock album that is highly underrated! 9.5/10)
3. Voices in Shadows (another underrated Post-Punk album! 9/10)
4. Shades of Grey 8.25/10
5. Wide Eyed Wonder (they actually kinda started going downhill at this point, but this was still a good album 8/10)

Anyone hear the reimagined What You Think I Am? I didn't think the song could get better, but it did.

I've had that track forever lol, but haven't heard it yet. So many new projects and vinyl to acquire!
