It seems like they have a couple really good rockers, a fist pumping anthem, and then a whole lot of shtako on each album. When I listen to them, I listen to their greatest hits albums.
I agree P.O.D.'s more recent albums seem to be that way. While they still always have a few good rockers they are definitely mellower than when they were on Fundamentals and Satellite. Not that there's anything wrong with songs that aren't upbeat but I've never been a big fan of their ballads.

2 more just came to mind:
Ugly Kid Joe
Warrant (all the essential songs are on their "best of" compilation. That said, Dog Eat Dog is worth it as a full album, but i havent heard much of what they've done since then)

^ half of those make me very sad, Neal Morse Code. Yes, Floyd and Rush made many of the best prog albums ever. Never heard "Close to the Edge" on the radio

I kind of dig the more reggae/hip hop oriented P.O.D. than the Fundamentals P.O.D.. The song they did on Testify, "On The Grind" isn't a rocker but it is a really well written song.StarFire wrote:messiaen77 wrote: There was also the time when it seemed like the typical album would be 3-4 good songs max and the rest was filler.
