I love me a manual Mazda down a dirt road. Too bad there was a canoe on the roof so that I had to take it easy.
Re: Random thoughts...
Classes started Thursday. Had Calc III Friday. My professor stopped part way through the lesson to explain the vectors with the half arrows above them have the same symbolic representation as the roof above the symbol, used more commonly in physics. She said as a mathematician, she uses the half arrow. She then explained she had to explain this to us because her earlier class was having real problems understanding this. The students kept asking what the half arrow was. Then she looked amazed and was like "It took them way longer to figure out than it should have." I thought that was a joke, to some extent, but she ended class 5 minutes early because we were already way ahead of where they were .

Re: Random thoughts...
You ever feel like you were at the right place at the right time because God wanted you right there?
That happened yesterday. A lady came in, maybe mid-thirties, she had her daughter with her. She asked for some help with what she should go with as far as internet connections go. Then she started expanding on the problems that led her to this situation and started expanding about her daughter. She raised a few problems and I was able to help her, unfortunately, I was bombarded with customers, so I wasn't able to answer all the questions and she left. I felt bad because I felt I could have given a bit of help to the daughter too and some more help to her, but ah well.
About ten minutes after I clocked in today, a call rang in saying I had helped her yesterday, how great I was and the like and that she wanted to talk to me to answer a few more questions. I ended up telling her she called at the perfect time because I had just clocked in. She ended up explaining that we had so much in common that she wanted to talk to me more because we had so many similarities and was hoping I could help her further. I was glad to and passed along my number. If I can help her, I would love to.

Worthy Is The Lamb
Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace
Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace
Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns
You reign victorious
High and lifted up
Jesus Son of God
The Darling of Heaven crucified
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb

Went for a gorgeous prayer/beer walk on the beach yesterday evening. The sun was setting and there were a ton of dolphins playing in the waves. It was pretty fantastic.
(The beer I had was Shipyard's "Smashed Pumpkin" which is very good.)

Random question, but do you drink alcohol that isn't beer?

Wait, there's alcohol other than beer? Ridiculous!

Very rarely... I love the taste of beer but don't particularly care for the taste of the hard stuff (unless it's in a mixed drink, but even then, I almost always would prefer beer). I'm not really into wine either, though I don't dislike it. But again, I prefer the taste of beer. Also it's easier to gauge proper amounts of consumption of beer and not drink too much.

Is that a pumpkin flavored beer? We have a local brewery here in St Louis (actually O'Fallon Beer, in O'Fallon, a suburb) that makes a pumpkin beer every fall. It's a bock with puree pumpkin and spices added to it. I bought my first six-pack of the season Monday and had one last night. It's awesome.

Right on! I'm not familiar with that brewery; I'll have to check 'em out. Yup, it's a pumpkin ale alright! So often those can come off as a bit gimmicky but when done right... oh they are so good!

Some professors straight up suck. My friend's professor just called him and his class the scum of the earth and she flaunts her gayness.Pastèque wrote:Don't drink Ar-Men, it's like cat pee

You've all heard the saying "Kill two birds with one stone"? Well, I lived that, except replace stone with car. I ran one over, I think, at the same time I nailed one with my hood. I left the bird feathers on there. They are a war trophy! Also, I'm not going to wash them off, that takes effort I am not willing to expend.
At work, music was playing on some demo speakers. I said "They should play some death metal on there, like 'Tears of Blood from an Angel in Mourning' (by Inversion)." I elaborated that they're Christian and my coworker was shocked. He ended up saying that since I listen to Christian metal I would know another metal band. I was like "Living sacrifice?" "No." "Soul Embraced?" "No." I said another band, I forgot what and he said no. So then I was thinking "Dang it, I know what it is. "Ah, skillet?" "Yeah!" "They're not metal."

Dang, them Indian leftovers I had for lunch yesterday really did a number on my bowels last night and this morning... and this morning. You'll all be happy to know though that I am feeling much better now. You're welcome for the updates on my intestines.
