I'd go along with that. Or even melodic tech death.

Metal Archives, Loudwire, blabbermouth, all these kinds of "Authorities" are the equivalent of the Rolling Stones magazine or "YouTubers" - the new age of "authoritative" Critics.

Example: Steven Terryberry, that's a guy who knows little about metal. Although he's not bad as far as being critical or doing album reviews for views on the same day the album just dropped.

And he's more about doing the same rehashed comedy routine over and over again, but it makes him very wealthy so I can't knock him for that.

2010 up is what Terry Knows. He keeps things relatively generic and less specific outside of that box and his autistic audience cant seem to get enough of the same comedic routine and flashy edits. Nothing against him as a person though and he's on to a good thing. I suppose he was a bad example.

A underground gem is Pesticides from Germany,. They only released 2 EPs but 100% OSDM
