Looking for some more Christian Old School Death Metal
I'm starting to love OSDM like Mortification and Death more and more recently. I'm trying to find some more Christian bands like that, but I haven't been able to find any really good ones by myself. My current fav Christian bands and albums are:
Mortification - Self-Titled, Scrolls, and Post
Opprobrium - Discerning Forces and Serpent Temptation(Alternate Version)
Decayed Existence - The Beginning of Sorrows (I want to listen to their albums, but they aren't on Spotify for some reason)

Listen to the Chords Of The Grave compilation.
It can be found on You Tube.

There's a split compilation that was released in the '90s called Chords of the Grave with Disencumbrance and Oblation and a couple other Death metal bands.

Probably slim pickings in the Christian realm.Ā
Most bands are independent or demo quality.

See I must have posted a similar message at the same time as someone else.Ā
Chords of the grave is probably some of the best there is in the Christian death metal realm along with Crimson thorn and early Mortification. Disencumbrance and oblation are as good as anything from the secular realm in my opinion.

Some good ones mentioned so far, so I’ll add Plague of the Ungodly and Metanoia.

This is not directed at you personally but a statement made in a general sense.
The phrase "Brutal Death" has emerged relatively recently, primarily among a new generation of youth characterized by their flat-brimmed caps and ostentatious golden chains, hailing from affluent suburban backgrounds.
Typically these individuals are mostly concerned and familiar with metal released after 2000, and more frequently after 2010, with the exceptions of bands like Cannibal Corpse or Suffocation.
If one were to inquire about their favorite metal bands, they might mistakenly identify 200 Stab Wounds as the pinnacle of death metal, revealing that their exposure likely extends to only a handful of bands within the genre.
Suffocation, to these flat brim cap Raiders sports sweater wearing individualsĀ wrongfully cite Suffocation and Mortician as the fathers of thisĀ abysmal sub genre known as brutal death metal. Mortician has always been a death metal grind band. Suffocation was always regarded as one of the pioneers of death metal.

I thought brutal death metal was the genre characterized by sounding like a sink garbage disposal overlaid by burping and pig noises
