This list is wrong because London isn't on it.

Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
Pretty good list. I definitely would have omitted O.M.C. and and added "I Don't Believe in Love", but a lot of the others I would probably agree with.

The LaTorre era is leagues ahead of the last 15 years of the Tate reich. So glad they booted him, especially for live performances.Temple of Blood wrote:I would have 0 LaTorre songs on my list.

I wouldn't include any of those either.
Yeah, LaTorre is a top-notch tribute singer but that is all he is. Not an artist. Going to see this official tribute band for the 3rd time in a few weeks.
I'd choose the first 15 songs QR ever wrote over anything they have done since 1994.

Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
It started out as a top 10, but I couldn't cut it down to 10. And I wanted to include more modern Ryche songs, since I consider the recent stuff pretty strong and compelling. but not in the same tier as the classic era.StevenCressler wrote:Now, this is a list length I can get behind

Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
Queensryche might be the only band in history that only had one top 10 hit (Silent Lucidity), but rarely plays it in concert outside of their heyday.

I know they don't play it every show like most would expect them to, but the times I've seen them they've played it:
Looks like it hasn't been played recently though. I think they are catering to the true metal crowd in recent years and have left the radio normie fans behind. I mean, it's a good song but not a GREAT all-time classic IMHO.

Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
Did not know there was a Queensryche/Bloodgood connection:
Chris joined a band called TEMPEST who got very popular fast by playing cool tunes like "Black Diamond" by KISS and other good metal. Their bass player/singer Mark Hovland had a very good voice and Chris was vindicated as a great guitarist after being kicked out of JOKER. Eventually TEMPEST added former ROX drummer Mark Welling (known today as the main drummer for Christian-themed rock band Bloodgood) and they became DEGARMO-HOVLAND-WELLING. D-H-W had a real good local buzz and put out a recording featured Christian-themed lyrics by Hovland. D-H-W broke up shortly after that when Welling left to join Geoff Tate's new progressive band BABYLON.

Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
I'm debating to pay $$$ to see them on Halloween night
If so, I hope they play many of the songs above plus:
Jet City Woman
Silent Lucidity
Best I Can

I won't go see them until they get ridda Mike Stone. I'm too bitter about him re-writing Operation: Mindcrime solos, cuz apparently his takes are better than DeGarmo's.Temple of Blood wrote:oldschooldoom wrote:I'm debating to pay $$$ to see them on Halloween night

I believe both times I saw them were with Parker.
Truth be told the new drummer is not as good and Wilton plays some of DeGarmo's solos incorrectly. But the vocals are awesome live.
Re: Top 25 Queensryche Songs
Almost every replacement changes the solos, it's not just Stone. They do a good job live.
