Does anyone else here use flags during worship? I have flagged for 7 years. This is me with my first set, which I still have:

I've never used them, though I have attended churches that heavily incorporate flags, dances, and similar practices.

I find such elements distracting. When I attend a worship service, my primary focus is to worship the Lord, not to observe any choreography, whether dance, flag-waving, or otherwise.

While I respect and understand those who engage in these practices, it's not something you'll find me participating in. The only exception would be waving a flag if I were in Caracas, protesting against the government.

I actually have a distant memory as a kid of visiting a church in which the kids got to run around the aisles waving these long ribbons attached to handles. Don’t remember whether or not the adults did it too. I remember having quite a lot of fun with that, although I can’t say I can see a way it’s spiritually edifying

I remember flag wavers. We had a few them at one of the Churches I went to. I had forgotten that was a thing too.

Flags are one of many forms of expressive worship. I don't just wave them haphazardly. Praise is a weapon. We may not be in a physical war like the Israelites in the days of Jehoshaphat, but we are definitely waging war in the Spirit when we sing, dance, flag, or whatever method of gifting the Lord bestows upon you.
