Bad movie. 5/10 on the Meh scale.
I got confused cuz the only Bad Dreams I know is from the 80's. I reviewed this film once and all I can remember is disappointment. Gale Anne Hurd of Terminator fame produced this major flop.

Hit Man
A 2023 movie recently released on Netflix. I took a chance on this unique, barely known actors, romcom and enjoyed it much more than anticipated! Based on a true story is what really piqued my interest

^ I guess I didn't notice Carl Weathers

Thelma & Louise
Yikes. THIS is held as a feminist triumph!? Sure, it sort of starts out that way. Then, the two of them leap from folly to folly. If that's how feminists think of themselves no wonder we're in the crappy state we're in.

I saw it in 1991 and don't remember most of it. I don't care to rewatch this box office hit. I know there are some great actors and funny and exciting moments but the whole thing seemed kinda dumb as it tragically spirals. The only people I hear talking about this movie are women.

I always thought they were the same person. How did they pull it off? Split screen technology?

The Hunt for Red October
Really good. Just read the book. A bit different, but not enough to get bent about.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
Pumpkinhead. This one had been on my watchlist for years and I just never got around to watching it until now. I really wasn't missing much...
PROS: It had a very cool monster and practical effects. The "lore" was fairly creative and the flick had some good scares, atmosphere, and setting. Zero sex/nudity and relatively little foul language. Even most of the violence happened off-screen (though still definitely earning an R rating).
CONS: There were a handful of sleights against Christianity that did nothing to further the plot (the monster stops chasing its victims to smash a cross in an old burnt-down church, the Christian character is weak *SPOILER* and gets killed early on - and before she gets it she says "only God can protect us" to which another character grabs a knife for defense saying, "just in case God doesn't show up," etc.). Most of the acting apart from the leads was pretty bad.
While there are certainly worse movies you can watch, overall I can't say I'd recommend it.
