Best Christian Thrash Band?

Antiseptic is pretty decent, the other two I mentioned, not so much imo. It seems I’m in the minority for not liking VL though

It's nice to see Mad Dragster listed above though.  I wish they'd come back.  South America has some of the best Christian metal in the world.

One could argue they are the leaders in Christian Thrash, there are so many good ones.

Some of my favorite SA thrash bands besides Mad Dragzter are Perpetual Faith and Soul Factor.

Ok. So Live To Die - Bride? And probably some Stryper actually.

I’m still not 100% sure what constitutes speed metal, but the first band that comes to mind when I hear the term is Impellitteri. Idk if that’s accurate or not though

Mosh-Pit Justice remains a perennially underrated thrash band.

Except by me.

A lot of my favorite Christian thrash is stuff that rarely gets discussed on here:  

Wraithkiller, Reckoned Dead, Immortal, Holy Sceptre, Have Mercy, Weeping Prophet, Embryo Chrysalis, Catscan, Join the Dead, Chained, Heavens Force, Viking, Aeturnus, Wickeds End, Avenger of Blood - first demo, Valor, Reborn, Demolish, Jesus Freaks, Minier, Deathless, etc.  

For me those bands would go above most bands on this poll.

I considered putting Jesus Freaks on the list but they only have one album.

Biogenesis is another really good but not well known one, although they’re more prog/hybrid thrash than pure thrash

Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm, Where Moth and Rust Destroy and Antiseptic Bloodbath are thrash with songs going to different subgenres here and there, often during the songs.

Gazing at Medusa is the other way around, being different subgenres but going to thrash here and there.

The last new bonus track is drone ambient doom.



I would say Tourniquet has 6 thrash albums, plus two compilation albums have three additional thrash tracks. Two of them are "pure" thrash (with a non-thrash track here and there), three if you count Stop the Bleeding. Three are genre hybrids based on thrash.

I wouldn't call the Black Album thrash. Load and Reload are certainly not thrash.
From St. Anger onwards they haven't done a single pure thrash album.

I think the later albums would not have thrash as their primary genre, but rather progressive metal.  Thrash would be secondary IMHO.

DM, Hardwired and 72S are thrash. Certain songs may not be thrash like Am I Savage? and Inamorata but the albums as a whole are thrash.

I think Death Magnetic, The Black Album, and Hardwired have a lot more thrash on them than later Tourniquet IIRC.  Not saying they're better, just more thrash metal content.

TBA as a whole is not thrash imo. Though some parts have thrashiness. Such as Holier Than Thou(the overall thrashiest song on TBA) and Wherever I May Roam.

Until the End is their most thrash song imo
