I wasn't expecting someone to actually vote for them lol.

Tourniquet for me. It has thinking man lyrics and great song writing. They also have a large discography of really good albums.
When you play Tourniquet, you know it’s Tourniquet…great original songs.

Theocracy isn’t thrash to me. Yes, they have some songs you can consider really fast or a bit thrashy….but overall, I consider them melodic power metal and the long 20 min songs are on the progressive side of metal.

Deliverance has some classic thrash albums but they didn’t stay there.

The crucified were awesome. They had that crossover thrash/punk/heavy sound but needed to put out more albums. I miss that…I wish they did more.


Ritual Servant is relatively new with  2 albums but they are a welcome addition to the "Christian” thrash scene. Great stuff here.

Believer, Sacrament and Vengeance are all right up there with Tourniquet… but Tourniquet ultimately wins for longevity.

Theocracy is the best band on this list, but they aren’t thrash. Tourniquet is easily the best thrash band on this list. I voted “other” though because I consider Adorned Graves to be the best Christian thrash band (although they don’t exclusively play thrash)

I voted for Theocracy, my favorite thrash band behind Harmony.

No Betrayal on this list.  No Seventh Angel, Temple of Blood, Ultimatum, Adorned Graves, Consecrator, Detritus, Step Cousin, Living Sacrifice, Hating Evil, etc etc, etc.  But Theocracy made the cut.

I haven't heard all of their albums but the ones I have, (Where Moth And Rust Destroy, Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance, Psycho Surgery, Stop The Bleeding) are all thrash.

I'm old enough to remember when a lot of metalcore bands were sold to the public as being "thrash-influenced".  Good luck finding those influences in that sound.

I only had ten spots ok? I put Theocracy just to see people freak out, and it worked! I also wanted to make the argument that a lot (if not most) of their stuff has thrash influence.

I agree. I love the first album. I like their newer stuff but it isn't Thrash. They should've kept going, they could've made this list.

Living Sacrifice is more thrash influenced than Theocracy. I mean, Theocracy is the greatest thrash band ever but LS is close.

Also... you know there's the option "Other". Which includes all those bands. Except Living Sacrifice they're not a thrash band. Yes, their first(and best) album is thrash but it's only that album. St. Anger doesn't make Metallica a Nu Metal band does it?

True.  I just find it odd that the #1 thrash band on this list has only about half their albums as actual thrash metal.

LS new stuff doesn't have thrash influence imo. Again, only the first album.

Not sure. StB one is sort of thrash, but more speed. PS is definitely thrash, though with some experimenting. POD is their most clear thrash album. VL is hard rock/alt metal and C2C is grunge. MVoaTR is kind of thrash, but it's their most "Tourniquet" metal album. WMaRD is... Doomy thrash? Not sure. Also don't know what to label the last two (though GaM the song Is definitely call thrash). So anywhere from 2-7 depending on which ones you count.

Very few Christian thrash bands have a long discography, so if TQT has a handful of thrash albums they already have more than a lot of others, like, say, Sacrament.

I think all their stuff is thrash right? At least MVOATR.

Is there actually a difference between thrash and speed? I've seen D's S/T be called both.

Several TQT albums are more hard rock (like VL and C2C for example, and I’d even say Antiseptic)
