Burial Extraction - new Death Metal Band

Sounding good! Accessible, catchy, yet sufficiently brutal. It sounds, somewhat ironically, like the secular thrash band Sodom with more brutal vocals.

No. They are played by Derek Corzine of Blood Thirsty/Crowned in Sorrow who is producing the album as well.

You have to go back and listen to early Kreator then! These sound NOTHING like Kreator. Just an average death metal band but its good.

I really like the production. Been blasting this in my car and it sounds huge! Derek Corzine played the drums and guitar solos for it as he does for his own projects. I typically think he does a great job with performance and production.

I don't listen to much death metal (once in awhile) but I like this band.

I didn't pay any attention to them until 5 minutes ago when I was listening to the new Testimony Of Apocalypse single which features the vocalist from....Burial Extraction! (Brian Lyda)

Looks like the full length album by Burial Extraction called "A Shadow Of Things To Come" was released in April 2023.

Yeah I'm listening to it now on Spotify and liking it a lot! They have more melody and musicality than most, while still retaining the heaviness.

Yes I'm sure you'd get stares and looks when blasting this, I don't think people are used to hearing this kind of music from cars. These days it's all rap or hip hop....lol.

Gave this a listen today. Overall I really liked it. The drums definitely sound programmed, but not bad for programmed drums.
