THEOPTIA - Prog. death metal band from Switzerland
This band really flies under the radar. They released a full album in 2017 and I never heard of them until now.
This is basically a one-man band with guest artists like Wolf from Sacrificium and Taanak from Demoniciduth.
The lyrics are mostly Bible-based, usually from the point of view of some Bible characters, and can be seen on their website. They also use some unusual instrumentation which sets them apart.

Ordered both albums two weeks ago and they came in the mail today. Excited to dig into them!
The new album "Undead gods" is all I've listened to so far. Horeb is just a cardboard sleeve but this one has a nice booklet. Definitely different in a lot of positive ways. Lyrically it's tremendously curious. The theme is the idols of man, what we worship, the extreme stances and causes that have become the religions of mankind: abortion, alcohol, dietary restrictions, monetary wealth, pornography, environmentalism, physical fitness, self-worship.
