Temple of Blood - Overlord (Remastered)
There have been many things said about this album here, and more indepth reviews posted elsewhere (AngelicWarlord). But I just bought this the other day and wanted to post my favourite aspects of the album that may be a little more nuanced than the basic items like 1) tons of energy!!, 2) interesting and engaging lyrics and music, etc. Here are my highlights:
1) sprinkled throughout the album are rhythm guitar harmonies panned hard L & R. AWESOME!!!!
2) The speed picking is impressive, super-tight, and so filled with energy!
3) I don't know how the vocalist can do so many different styles of singing/non-singing on one album and pull it all off. There are some songs where he's following the chaotic rhythm guitar line and it should sound muddy and off-tune and crappy, but it sounds SO GOOD!
4) There are short--and sometimes longer--harmonized portions in the solos, and they add so much interest and depth to the songs. I love it.

Re: Temple of Blood - Overlord (Remastered)
Thank you!
I'm not gonna lie ... it is hard to sing along with guitar riffs like ToB makes.
If you liked this one I think you'll love this new one. Gonna focus on it again once our show opening for Raven is over next week.
