Doug Van Pelt’s website to his original magazine has a new refreshed look. He had changed the brand to “HM” after the grunge 90’s emerged to appeal to the new taste in music. He eventually stepped down and disappeared for a while. He came back a few years ago with his original old school metal / “hard music” vision.

I'm glad to see he is back to emphasizing heavy metal.   The website looks good.
Back in the day, White Throne magazine had better writing but thankfully Heaven's Metal seems to have upped their game over the years and the writing and reviews are better quality now.

I had a subscription to the original paper magazine in the early 90’s when bands like Living Sacrifice, The Crucified, Believer and Precious Death were the cover stories. I had seen the gradual decline with the “HM” direction geared toward the post grunge nu-metal generation. I eventually had to cancel because it wasn’t my cup of tea anymore... 

Today HM is like a hipster magazine for trendy music.

I always enjoyed reading the “what so & so sez” segment. Usually the subject would politely answer or sidestep the question about Jesus Christ, but there was always the chance of hostility.

I would love that!  YouTube interview would be even better.

For now, I'm very thankful for the glowing review that the remastered Overlord received on there.

Not sure.  Rhythm guitars finishing up now.  Drums almost done.  Planning to start recording bass and vocals in January.
